            <p>FPL Gameweek 34 team reveal and tips from <a href="https://twitter.com/richclarkefpl">Rich Clarke</a>.</p>
<p>Rich is a Fantasy Premier League veteran, and has one of the most enviable records out there. Notching two top 500 finishes and eight top 10k finishes, he is the only FPL manager never to finish outside the top 35k in each of his 15 seasons.</p>
<p>Rich will be revealing his team on a weekly basis in the 2021/22 season; providing observations and strategies where appropriate.</p>

<p>A gameweek where I paid a heavy price for gambling. Seeking to make up some ground, I brought in <strong>Bruno Fernandes </strong>for <strong>Mohamed Salah</strong> for Manchester United's double.  My captain, Bruno scored just 3 points across the two games, while Salah was back to his brilliant best against United, with a 19-point haul!</p>
<p>It was actually <strong>Cristiano Ronaldo</strong> who produced the hat-trick against Norwich and the '<strong>Other Bruno</strong>' (<strong>Guimaraes)</strong> who starred for Newcastle over their double, to delight FPL managers who owned either (or both) of them on Free Hit.</p>
<p>Was this variance on Fernandes/Salah unlucky? On reflection it was a very risky move, and one that left my team highly exposed without the game's best and most highly owned player. I won't do it again.</p>
<p>I decided last week to play my <strong>Bench Boost chip</strong> - which at least gained me a few points (25) and a small green arrow to halt the slide down the rankings. I'm now free of the constraints of Bench Boost planning for the run-in!</p>

<h2>Strategy Execution</h2>
<p>With just a single<strong> Free Hit left to play</strong>, this is likely to be used in Gameweek 37 for me. We await the timing of the Manchester City double gameweek, which will help Gameweek 34 wild carders if it comes before Saturday's deadline.</p>
<p>My own team has two Manchester City defenders - so its not really an issue which week it falls for me. I will be stronger in Gameweek 36 if it goes there, but can cover the last big double anyway if it goes into Gameweek 37.</p>
<p>I'm now really looking at trying to salvage a decent finish from the recent poor run. I would like to get back into the Top 50k as a target, and to perhaps beat my worst ever season (32k) as a stretch. I need to nail some captaincy picks!</p>
