<h2>Chris Tan's fixture analysis: Double Gameweek 35</h2>
<p>I’ve drafted this at the halfway point of Gameweek 34 as the week doesn’t end until Thursday night, with the next deadline on Saturday morning.</p>
<p>So far, I correctly predicted that <strong>Bryan Mbeumo (£6.8m)</strong> would have a good match-up. I also noted it could be more prudent to double on the Arsenal defence rather than the attack.</p>
<p>I predicted that <strong>Dominic Solanke (£7.2m)</strong> was likely to score but Bournemouth were unlikely to keep a clean sheet. All three of <strong>Eberechi Eze (£6.0m)</strong>, <strong>Michael Olise (£5.6m)</strong> and <strong>Jean-Philippe Mateta (£5.0m)</strong> were likely to benefit from their opposition's weaknesses in different ways - although I did not expect them to exploit it this much.</p>
<p>This week several will be either wildcarding or trying to position themselves to maximise the latest double, however the cost could be losing top players from the best teams.</p>
<p><strong>Ollie Watkins (£8.9m)</strong> is the highest points scorer in the game and has more attacking returns than many elite players ever have in the league, yet nobody is rushing to bring him in.</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Double Gameweek 35: Clean sheet and goalscoring odds</strong></h2>
<p>Are the doubles a trap? Neither looks particularly enticing, whereas some of the single fixtures such as Newcastle and both Manchester clubs look much better.</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Double Gameweek 35 fixtures analysed</strong></h2>
<h3>West Ham v Liverpool</h3>
<p>Liverpool rested a few players and won comfortably against Fulham despite looking unconvincing at times. City and Arsenal are outside of their control - they know what they need to do.</p>
<p>West Ham got utterly thrashed by Crystal Palace and without <strong>Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) </strong>they look ordinary. It feels like the end for David Moyes. He and the club are reaching a natural conclusion and it’s unclear whether they will conclude the journey in style or with a whimper.</p>
<p>Liverpool won the reverse fixture 3-1. <strong>Mohamed Salah (£13.6m)</strong> converted from the penalty spot and <strong>Darwin Nunez (£7.8m) </strong>scored. The Hammers have a poor record against Liverpool and have lost their last five in all competitions.</p>
<p>Liverpool play Everton on Wednesday night and this is the dreaded lunchtime kick-foff, which Jurgen Klopp often moans about. West Ham have the week off and will be well recovered for this game, which is a big advantage, especially considering they’re at home.</p>

<p><strong>Additional factors to consider</strong></p>
<p>Liverpool’s recent xG is good and it’s just their goal involvement that is letting them down. They’re not as prolific away from Anfield but still rank third for xG and goals.</p>
<p>West Ham’s recent xGC is terrible, they’re leaking big chances and haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 14 matches. They have the fourth worst xGC in the league.</p>
<p>The Hammers concede a high volume of shots. They’re poor at defending crosses and allow the most shots from their centre and right.</p>
<p>They have conceded the most penalties in the league (10) and Liverpool have won the joint-second most (9).</p>
<p>Many will be ditching Salah on the wildcard but this fixture should be treated with caution. We saw what <strong>Michael Olise (£5.6m)</strong> did to the Hammers from the same side.</p>
<p>Salah is always up there for shot volume and big chances. The chances of a penalty look fairly high and the only negative is the lunchtime kick-off.</p>
