<p>Rich is a Fantasy Premier League veteran, and has one of the most enviable records out there. Notching two top 500 finishes and eight top 10k finishes, he is the only FPL manager never to finish outside the top 35k in each of his 15 seasons.</p>
<p>Rich will be revealing his team on a weekly basis in the 2021/22 season; providing observations and strategies where appropriate.</p>

<p>'Variance' played a huge part in Gameweek 35 fortunes for FPL managers once again. The strength and order of bench players also had a big influence, as key assets <strong>Mohamed Salah</strong>, <strong>Kevin De Bruyne</strong> and <strong>Trent Alexander-Arnold</strong> were all handed rests last weekend.</p>
<p><strong>Son Heung-Min </strong> stole the show with a 19-point haul - and was a popular captain choice too for his owners and those who transferred him in.</p>
<p>In terms of my own team, I just don't seem to be able to stop the bleeding! I got the captaincy choice (Between <strong>Salah</strong> and <strong>Harry Kane</strong>) correct, but Kane 'only' provided a single-goal return. Success recently has all been about catching a big hauler - often financed with multiple hits and catching the upside variance.</p>
<p>I seem to have managed to dodge every major ownership haul since Gameweek 26, which means 8 red arrows in ten for my beleaguered squad.  <strong>38 points</strong> for my whole side was the same as Son(c) managed on his own!</p>
<p>Whichever way you look at it, I'm responsible for the decisions I have made and they haven't been good enough to keep pace. To say I need a good finish to the season is an understatement, but I'll try nonetheless.</p>

<h2>Strategy Execution</h2>
<p>I managed to carry a transfer through to Double Gameweek 36 - possibly the highest upside gameweek of the season.  My strategy from this point is just to go for it and try to own the right players for the remaining weeks.</p>
<p>I will use my remaining <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-free-hit-chip-in-fpl-and-how-can-we-use-it/"><strong>Free Hit</strong></a> in Double Gameweek 37, so there is an opportunity to look at Gameweeks 36 + 38 in combination when making transfers.</p>
