<h2>The Best FPL Transfer for Double Gameweek 37</h2>
<p class="western">This season has been a wild FPL ride, with major outbreaks of variance on what feels like a weekly basis.</p>
<p class="western">The Double Gameweek 36 explosion of ginger excellence from <strong>Kevin De Bruyne (£12.0m)</strong> is the most recent case in point.</p>
<p class="western">But not everything in FPL has been so consistently inconsistent. The under-performance of the game&#8217;s strikers has been an ongoing issue all season.</p>
<p class="western">Until, arguably, now.</p>
<p class="western">There are only two gameweeks left of this campaign. Unless we&#8217;re prepared to take some serious hits, we need a nice bit of stability to keep the potential for returns down to a manageable number of players.</p>
<p class="western">So what do the forwards do?</p>
<p class="western">Yep, in a season where a goalkeeper is still outscoring any and all of them (Alisson Becker, loves a header) the front men have decided to make a late play for our fantasy hearts and minds.</p>
<p class="western">Well, two of them have.</p>
<p class="western">Leicester City have a double-up next involving trips to Watford and Chelsea.</p>
<p class="western"><strong>Jamie Vardy (£10.3m)</strong> warmed up for that with a midweek 13-pointer.</p>
<p class="western">Yes, it was against Norwich, but Vardy&#8217;s <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> over both matches of the Foxes&#8217; double in Gameweek 36 were impressive.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-46185 size-full" src="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.01.41.jpg" alt="vardy gw36 fpl" width="1060" height="858" srcset="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.01.41.jpg 1060w, https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.01.41-300x243.jpg 300w, https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.01.41-1024x829.jpg 1024w, https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.01.41-768x622.jpg 768w, https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.01.41-610x494.jpg 610w" sizes="(max-width: 1060px) 100vw, 1060px" /></p>
<p>He was joint-top among all players for shots in the box (eight), while only <strong>Raheem Sterling (£10.5m)</strong> had more big chances (five) than his total of three.</p>
<p class="western">And among strikers, Vardy&#8217;s xG of 1.59 led the way.</p>
<p class="western">The worry, as ever, is how Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers manages Vardy&#8217;s minutes.</p>
<p class="western">But his comments after the Norwich match, in which he gave the striker the full 90, were telling.</p>
<p class="western">“That’s why I kept him on, to try to get him his hat-trick. He’s a bit older now, so every minute counts. There might not be as many hat-tricks for him. It’s been a tough season for him. For players it’s about rhythm and he has missed a lot of games. He’s such a brilliant guy, so hungry.”</p>
<p class="western">That suggests the forward will feature heavily over the side&#8217;s last three games.</p>
<p class="western">Then again, it wouldn&#8217;t be a Vardy story without some kind of injury scare and, following the Norwich clash, it&#8217;s&#8230;his wrist, according to Rodgers.</p>
<p class="western">“He fell on his wrist there and it looked a bit sore. Hopefully it will be okay. He’ll recover now and we’ll see what he’s like for the weekend.”</p>
<p class="western">So if you don&#8217;t want to take a risk on Vardy, is there another striker worthy of our attention?</p>
<p class="western">Yes. <strong>Romelu Lukaku (£11.4m)</strong>.</p>
<p class="western">Take De Bruyne and Sterling out of the Gameweek 36 equation, and nobody – prior to Thursday night&#8217;s north London derby, that is – produced more points than the Chelsea man&#8217;s 19.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-46186 size-full" src="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.03.15.jpg" alt="lukaku gw36 fpl" width="1062" height="862" srcset="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.03.15.jpg 1062w, https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.03.15-300x244.jpg 300w, https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.03.15-1024x831.jpg 1024w, https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.03.15-768x623.jpg 768w, https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-12-at-12.03.15-610x495.jpg 610w" sizes="(max-width: 1062px) 100vw, 1062px" /></p>
<p>He scored three goals across the two fixtures, had more shots (ten) than any other player and was joint-top with Vardy for attempts in the box.</p>
<p class="western">Among forwards, he trailed only Vardy for xG (1.37) and even managed to produce more key passes – four – than any other striker over the double.</p>
<p class="western">There are, however, some issues with the striker.</p>
<p class="western">First up is the weekend&#8217;s FA Cup final against Liverpool. Will he start? Will he thrive? Will he be rested afterwards?</p>
<p class="western">Chelsea play Leicester next Thursday evening. That&#8217;s plenty of time for him to recover – if he even starts at Wembley.</p>
<p class="western">He&#8217;s also played just 1,506 minutes this season, and started two of Chelsea&#8217;s last five matches in the league, so fatigue shouldn&#8217;t be a problem.</p>
<p class="western">His chunky price tag, and the fact that the Blues have only two matches now are probably bigger concerns.</p>
<p class="western">But a visit from a Leicester side without an away clean sheet since Gameweek 27 is followed by a final-day home game against Watford.</p>
<p class="western">Those are some enticing fixtures to go with Lukaku&#8217;s late burst of form.</p>
<p class="western">Throw in the fact that he&#8217;s owned by just 7.4% of players &#8211; many of those, you would suspect, no longer paying a great deal of attention to FPL this season &#8211; and he&#8217;s got a decent claim to differential status as well.</p>
