BigManBakar provides us with his FPL Fixture Release Reaction, as the Premier League announces the full schedule for the 2022/23 season.
In this article, I share my initial thoughts on the teams to target and avoid on the basis of the Premier League fixtures release.

<h3>The Good: 
 
Liverpool</h3>
Fixture run: ful CRY mun BOU NEW
My early thoughts are that tripling up on Liverpool is the way to begin the season. The fixtures are too good to pass up &#8211; even before the prices are announced, Salah and Alexander Arnold are more or less locked in my team.
The third spot will be up for debate however, and will depend a lot on FPL price and pre season form &#8211; Robertson, Diaz, and new addition <a href="https://fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/darwin-nunez-fpl-prospects/">Darwin Nunez</a> all seem to be viable contenders to make it to our FPL Gameweek 1 squads.

<h3>Manchester City</h3>
Fixture run: whu BOU new CRY NFO
The fact that the two best teams in the world have the most tempting fixtures to begin means, to some extent, that Gameweek 1 squads should pick themselves. Man City, much like Liverpool, have a great run to begin with, which brings their new headline signing <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/three-big-things-that-will-change-fpl-in-2022-23/">Erling Haaland</a> to the forefront.
Given their fixtures, Salah and Haaland could start very strongly. Interest in the City defence will be fairly high as well, with the likes of Cancelo and Laporte in consideration. Foden will also be one to consider, depending on form and FPL price.

<h3>Arsenal</h3>
Fixture run: cry LEI bou FUL AVL
Arsenal&#8217;s fixtures at first glance seem to be very good for attackers, but not so great for their defence. It will be interesting to see Aaron Ramsdale&#8217;s price this season.
Martinelli is the one that I have my eye on given Arsenal&#8217;s opening fixtures. With Saka expected to get a significant price hike, Martinelli could be a great budget enabler, as Saka was last season. Martinelli showing some form in pre-season will provide FPL managers with a much needed enabler &#8211; especially given their temptation to shoe-horn so many premiums into their squads.

<h3>Brentford</h3>
Fixture run: lei MUN ful EVE cry
Most of the weaker teams in the division have a poor fixture run to begin with &#8211; Brentford, however, aren&#8217;t one of them.
They ended last season on a high note and have been handed an obliging fixture run to start the season as well.
Toney and Raya are the ones who stand out at first glance.
Toney is already proven unlike some of the other strikers he is competing with which gives him an edge.
Raya, meanwhile, looks like a good £4.5m goalkeeper option &#8211; if his price is as expected. Only Alisson, Ederson and Lloris had a better FPL points per game than Raya last season &#8211; he is likely to be a bargain as a result of missing games through injury, and not ending up as high in the standings as he should have been.

<h3>Aston Villa</h3>
Fixture run: bou EVE cry WHU ars
I like Villa&#8217;s opening four fixtures from an attacking point of view &#8211; I don&#8217;t think they have been talked about enough in the FPL community since the fixture release.
I like what Gerrard is building, and if FPL are kind with the pricing, Villa could present us with an option or two to begin with.

<h3>Manchester United</h3>
Fixture run: BHA bre LIV sou lei
I think this could very well be a blessing in disguise for FPL managers. Given the difficulty of United&#8217;s opening fixtures, FPL managers can wait and watch to see what tricks Erik Ten Hag has up his sleeve before investing in any of their assets.

<h3>Newcastle</h3>
Fixture run: NFO bha MCI wol LIV
I&#8217;m really looking forward to owning Newcastle&#8217;s assets this season &#8211; they are a much improved team under Eddie Howe and I&#8217;m sure they are only going to improve with more signings in the summer. However, their early fixture run is tough &#8211; with both Man City and Liverpool due to play them in their opening five fixtures.

<h3>Southampton</h3>
Fixture run: tot LEE lei MUN CHE
I had an eye on Che Adams as a budget forward, but it looks as if FPL managers will be well served looking elsewhere to begin with.

Fulham fixture run: LIV wol BRE ars BHA
Bournemouth fixture run: AVL mci ARS liv WOL
Nottingham Forest fixture run: new WHU eve TOT mci

I was hoping Mitrovic would get a favourable fixture run to begin with, since funds will be tight, and a budget forward will be needed.
However, as it turns out, all three of the promoted teams have a horrible run to begin with. It&#8217;s better to look elsewhere for our Gameweek 1 squads.

<h3>Crystal Palace</h3>
Fixture run: ARS liv AVL mci BRE
Palace were handed a terrible opening fixture run last season, and the same is the case again. They surprised us last season with their performances, despite the appointment of a new manager.
I expect quite a few bargains from them in FPL this season, but sadly it looks as if FPL managers will be better off avoiding them at the start.
