            <p>We're three weeks into the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season - but which teams have performed best and worst so far?</p>
<p>While we only have a limited set of data, the international break is a good time to review the numbers - especially given FPL managers have begun activating their first <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-fantasy-premier-league-wildcard-and-when-to-use-it">Wildcards</a>.</p>
<p>We initially took a look at the best players between Gameweek 1 and 3, which can be found <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/best-fpl-players-so-far-according-to-the-stats">here</a>.</p>

<h2>Forest's promise at both ends of the pitch - but can they sustain it?</h2>
<p>Nottingham Forest have had the most shots in the league so far.</p>
<p>Their 53 efforts on goal - an average of more than 17 per game - is five more than Manchester City, Liverpool and Spurs.</p>
<p>We can expect the chasing pack to sustain league-leading numbers, given they finished among the top four for total shots last season.</p>
<p>Forest keeping it up long-term however would be a surprise.</p>
<p>Nuno Espirito Santo's team ranked 15th for shot volume last season, averaging just under 12 per game.</p>
<p>Favourable opening fixtures have helped. Opponents Bournemouth, Southampton and Wolves are among the top six for most shots conceded.</p>
<p>But regardless of whether the trend continues, Forest must improve on their finishing.</p>
<p>Although they also lead for shots on target (21), they have created just eight big chances - joint-10th best.</p>
<p>They have scored three times (joint-12th), with an expected goals (xG) tally of 4.78 (eighth).</p>
<p>Speaking ahead of their Gameweek 3 match against Wolves, Espirito Santo said:</p>

<p>“I think we are improving on that aspect of the game [shots on goal].</p>
<p>"The detail of the finishing - the right pass in the right moment, not rushing - still has to improve but the numbers show that the team is producing a lot, which is really good."</p>

<p>At the other end of the pitch, Forest's expected goals conceded (xGC) is third best. They have conceded two goals.</p>
<p>Having finished last season ranked fourth for xGC but joint-15th worst for goals conceded, FPL managers should keep an eye on whether Forest can close the gap between the two metrics.</p>
<p>With new signings in defence, including <strong>Nikola Milenkovic</strong>, they may well concede fewer goals this season - and their defenders will be more in the fantasy conversation as a result.</p>
