            <p>Seven gameweeks have passed in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) - but what do the stats tell us so far?</p>
<p>With the Premier League paused for the second international break of the season, we analyse the stats from a player perspective and pick out some key highlights.</p>
<p>It's still early days, so the sample size remains small, however we have four more gameweeks of data compared to our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/best-fpl-players-so-far-according-to-the-stats">first review</a> in early September.</p>

<h2>Haaland takes shots lead - but Semenyo and Eze still a factor</h2>
<p><strong>Erling Haaland </strong>has taken the most shots in the league (35), ahead of <strong>Antoine Semenyo </strong>(31) and <strong>Eberechi Eze </strong>(27).</p>
<p>The latter two led Haaland after three gameweeks but the Norwegian has since taken over.</p>
<p>Significantly, he also has a comfortable lead for shots on target (23), eight more than <strong>Mohamed Salah </strong>(15).</p>
<p>Both Semenyo and Eze drop considerably down the rankings when it comes to shot accuracy. They have managed just seven and nine on target respectively.</p>
<p>This affects their standing in expected goals (xG) terms, sitting 15th and 25th, while Haaland is top.</p>
<p>Semenyo, who has three goals and one assist, remains a solid budget pick. He has the third best expected goal involvements (3.6) among players priced at £6.0m and below.</p>
<p>Eze meanwhile, who has an almost identical xGI of 3.5, has frustrated owners. With a single goal to his name, he is the second biggest under-performing midfielder behind <strong>Bruno Fernandes</strong>.</p>
<p>The Crystal Palace playmaker's expected points tally (33.67) is around 10 short of his actual total (23).</p>

<h2>Palmer and Mbeumo chasing down Haaland's goals tally</h2>
<p>Haaland is out in front for goals despite failing to score in his last two league games.</p>
<p><strong>Cole Palmer </strong>and <strong>Bryan Mbeumo </strong>are four behind on six, with <strong>Luis Diaz </strong>on five.</p>
<p>All three of the chasing pack have, like Haaland, bettered their xG - and only Palmer is the only one of the trio in the top 10 for this metric.</p>
<p><strong>Nicolas Jackson</strong>, <strong>Ollie Watkins </strong>and Salah are three players whose record is good enough for the top 10 in both xG and goals scored.</p>
<p>Aston Villa forward Watkins has had more big chances than any other player (11). He has four goals from an xG of 3.65.</p>
<p>Brighton's <strong>Danny Welbeck</strong> has had a superb start to the season, with four goals from an xG of 3.5.</p>
<p>He makes the top 10 for xG alongside Spurs' <strong>Brennan Johnson</strong>, who has scored in six successive games in all competitions.</p>
<p>In terms of overall goal involvements, Palmer has the lead (11), with one more than Haaland.</p>
<p>Rival premium midfielder <strong>Bukayo Saka </strong>has nine, edging ahead of the more expensive Salah (eight).</p>
