<h2>FPL Gameweek 1: Teams and fixtures to target</h2>
<p>Here is the full fixture list for Gameweek 1:</p>

<p>I am very stats driven in my analysis but for the initial few weeks, I will have to lean on some of last season’s data until we have a reasonable sample size for this season.</p>
<h3>⚽ Goals: Liverpool, Spurs and Manchester City</h3>
<p>Although the latest spread odds haven’t been released yet, these are the three teams who offer the most potential for goals.</p>
<p>Liverpool are at home under the Friday night lights and have heavily strengthened their attack against a Bournemouth team who have sold the majority of their defence.</p>
<p>Spurs host a new promoted side who have lost the goalkeeper who helped them keep so many clean sheets last season.</p>
<p>And while City are away, Wolves have lost their best players too.</p>

<h3>💪 Clean sheets: Liverpool, Spurs and City</h3>
<p>This is no longer the Spurs we knew under Ange Postecoglou. Thomas Frank knows how to defend with pragmatism.</p>
<p>They’ve signed a strong defensive midfielder to protect the defence in <strong>Joao Palhinha</strong> and ultimately, Burnley don’t offer much attacking threat.</p>
<p>I don’t feel City have fully fixed their vulnerabilities on the turnover, however Wolves have lost their two star players and aren’t that lethal on the break.</p>
<p>City will dominate possession and chances will be limited.</p>
<p>It’s close between Liverpool and Chelsea but the recent injuries to the Blues' defence and opponents Palace’s form made me lean towards Liverpool.</p>
<p>But despite Bournemouth’s defensive frailties, their attack should still be potent and Liverpool looked vulnerable against Palace in the Community Shield.</p>
<h2>FPL Gameweek 1: Players to target</h2>
<h3><strong>🥇 Florian Wirtz (Liverpool v Bournemouth)</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Target: Bournemouth’s central weakness</strong></p>
<p><strong>Mohamed Salah</strong> is the obvious Liverpool asset, however drilling a bit deeper, I feel Wirtz could benefit more from this match-up:</p>
<p>In the second half of last season, Bournemouth conceded the most chances from their centre</p>
<p>They’ve lost their two starting centre backs and don’t have much of a shield from their defensive midfield</p>
<p>Wirtz has been deployed in the hole in pre-season and his late runs could cause some serious damage</p>
<p><strong>Hugo Ekitike</strong> is also well positioned to exploit Bournemouth’s weaknesses and has looked electric so far.</p>
