<h2>Chris Tan's fixture analysis: Gameweek 12</h2>
<p>Gameweek 11 feels like a distant memory now.</p>
<p>Last time around we called that <strong>Evanilson (£5.9m)</strong> and <strong>Emile Smith Rowe (£5.7m) </strong>had a great match-up, and both returned.</p>
<p>We also identified that <strong>Bruno Fernandes (£8.2m) </strong>had an amazing match-up and that’s what pushed me towards bringing him in, to great success.</p>
<p>The week after the international break has been rather lacklustre the previous two occasions, so every little boost could count this week. Who should you target and why?</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Gameweek 12: Clean sheet and goalscoring odds</strong></h2>
<p>These were captured on Monday, November 11 and could fluctuate by the deadline.</p>
<p>The expected goals look rather subdued given the fixture difficulties, although I do recall how it was after the last two international breaks.</p>

<h2><strong>Team attacking stats - sorted by expected goals (xG)</strong></h2>
<p>Spurs continue to top the charts, with Arsenal starting to climb and City continuing their decline. Brentford seem to have evolved into their Championship free-flowing style.</p>

<h2><strong>Team defensive stats - sorted by expected goals conceded (xGC)</strong></h2>
<p>Ipswich and Leicester leak big chances. The promoted teams remain the ones to target for goals. Wolves, Brighton, Manchester United, Brentford (and surprisingly) Manchester City are also looking rather suspect.</p>

<h2><strong>Individual player stats sorted by expected points (xPts)</strong></h2>
<p>These stats highlight a few key points:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Mohamed Salah (£12.9m)</strong> is on fire and so efficient. Liverpool’s attacking stats aren’t amazing but his actual goal involvement, bonus and points per game are ridiculous.</li>
<li><strong>Erling Haaland (£15.2m)</strong> has been unlucky based on the difference between his expected and actuals. All City’s xG funnels towards him and this underperformance won’t last forever.</li>
<li><strong>Cole Palmer (£10.9m)</strong> is very similar to Salah, however more of a flat track bully than a player that can do it against anyone.</li>
<li><strong>Alexander Isak (£8.4m)</strong> - there’s a reason he was in all of our teams for Gameweek 1 and he’s still reasonably under the radar but it won’t be for long. He’s clearly the talisman for Newcastle and their fixtures are turning.</li>

<h2><strong>FPL Gameweek 11 fixtures analysed</strong></h2>
<h3>Leicester v Chelsea</h3>
<p>Chelsea did well to come back against Arsenal, and they’re in a decent league position. Their goalkeeper and defence remain a weakness but that only becomes an issue when they’re truly tested. This likely won’t be a test.</p>
<p>Leicester are a decent enough side, however the Premier League standard is so high that what used to be sufficient to finish mid-table is no longer enough. They’re now one of the whipping boys.</p>
<p><strong>Additional factors to consider:</strong></p>
<p>Chelsea’s attacking stats are reasonable without being amazing. They’re not creating as many big chances as they’d like and they’re slightly under-performing their xG.</p>
<p>It’s a reasonably small sample sized skewed by fixture difficulty but Chelsea don’t appear to be as prolific away from home.</p>
<p>That shouldn’t be an issue though, as Leicester’s defensive stats are dire. Only Ipswich allow more big chances, and they concede an average of well over two per game. They are a little more solid at home compared to away though,</p>
<p>Leicester have conceded the most shots in the league from their left. That used to be Palmer’s domain, however lately he’s been shifted to the left of centre area, which has impacted his output.</p>
<p>The Foxes are also the worst in the league at defending set pieces and headed attempts. Palmer takes the majority of set pieces and corners, which is an additional avenue for him.</p>
<p><strong>Nicolas Jackson (£7.9m) </strong>is the main aerial threat and someone you should consider for a double-up ahead of this Chelsea fixture run.</p>
<p>Palmer and Jackson average the most big chances for Chelsea and their combined actual goal involvement is 90% which highlights the benefits of pairing them to maximise the points for any goal involvement.</p>
<p><strong>Outcome:</strong></p>
<p>Although Leicester’s attacking stats are poor, Chelsea’s defensive stats aren’t great and they haven’t kept a clean sheet for a while.</p>
<p>On that basis, I feel this could be a 1-3 type of game. The odds suggest more of a 0-1, however I wholeheartedly disagree.</p>
