<p class="p1">On Thursday evening, the Premier League have announced <strong>five postponements</strong> to the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/"><strong>FPL Gameweek 18 fixtures</strong></a>. Here are the postponed fixtures:</p>
<p><strong>Manchester United vs Brighton</strong></p>
<p><strong>Southampton vs Brentford</strong></p>
<p><strong>Watford vs Crystal Palace</strong></p>
<p><strong>West Ham vs Norwich</strong></p>
<p><strong>Everton vs Leicester City</strong></p>
<p>The Premier League have stated that <strong>all other fixtures due to be played this weekend are currently scheduled to proceed as planned.</strong></p>

<h2 class="p1">What are the reasons for the postponements?</h2>
<p>The games have been postponed due to individual club requests. Manchester United, <strong>Brentford, Watford and Leicester City </strong>have shut their training grounds, <strong>with Norwich </strong>having insufficient numbers of players available due to COVID-19, injuries and other illnesses.</p>
<p>The Premier League have already reintroduced <strong>Emergency Measures</strong>, including social distancing and mask wearing. There&#8217;s still a chance of further postponements or a circuit breaker which cancels all fixtures.</p>

<h2 class="p1"><span class="s1">What Should FPL Managers do Ahead of Gameweek 18? </span></h2>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">While this situation is developing, <strong>it’s important that FPL managers do nothing for now</strong>. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">We should have a much clearer picture on <strong>Saturday afternoon</strong> ahead of the 13:30 deadline, in which to react to the news. Hold off on making any transfers until then. </span></p>
<p class="p1">Having a <strong>strong bench</strong> is key, so make improvements using transfers in that area if you are able to. Consider having your <strong>captain and vice captain</strong> from different fixtures.</p>
<p>The <strong>Free Hit </strong>chip could be a consideration, but with so much uncertainty, and plenty of future Double Gameweek&#8217;s, the advice is to use <strong>transfers and points hits</strong>.</p>
<p>While a full eleven may not be attainable, having <strong>eight or nine players</strong> should be sufficient to survive another chaotic week.</p>
