<p><strong><em>What is the best FPL Gameweek 2 Free Hit team? </em></strong><em><a href="https://twitter.com/FPL_Junior">FPL Junior</a> (five top 17k finishes in last six seasons) shares his FPL tips by selecting a team each week to try and score as many points as possible. In essence, he will be playing his <strong>Free Hit chip</strong> every single Gameweek. </em></p>
<p>It&#8217;s back and we head into the season with little form to rely upon other than the class of the past and a hunch. It&#8217;s early days to be deploying your chips but if you&#8217;re planning on an early wildcard, some of these picks could interest you for a one-week punt.</p>

<h2>FPL Gameweek 2 Free Hit Team</h2>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">Goalkeeper</h3>
<p><strong>De Gea: </strong>United&#8217;s number one has been priced at his lowest ever FPL price at £5.0m. With no budget defence standing out at the moment, I felt he was the safest choice away to Southampton. The Saint&#8217;s had the second-lowest amount of <strong>shots</strong> (6) and created just one <strong>big chance</strong> in GW1.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: left;">Defence</h3>
<p><strong>Tsimikas</strong>: While a £4.1m defender is in the starting XI of Liverpool, I think he&#8217;s worth the extra saving over Alexander-Arnold.</p>
<p>His spot won&#8217;t last long so I&#8217;m making the most of it. He attempted 12 <strong>crosses</strong> compared to Trent&#8217;s eight but none were successful. He also made seven crosses and took one free-kick, both more than his opposite fullback.</p>
<p>Burnley underperformed their xG against Brighton that included a dubious goal but I expect their chances to be limited. That being said I wouldn&#8217;t be overly confident in a clean sheet but at this price he&#8217;s a no brainer with offensive and clean sheet potential.</p>
<p><strong>Cancelo</strong>: Man City&#8217;s start to the season was unexpected, but I still fancy them to bounce back against Norwich, with the likes of Stones and Zinchenko likely to return. Norwich racked up good numbers against Liverpool but apart from a scramble in the box leading to some heroics from Alisson they didn&#8217;t seem overly threatening.</p>

<p>Cancelo had three <strong>shots</strong>, created one <strong>big chance</strong> and three <strong>key passes</strong> against Spurs making him the most offensive defender in their side and most certainly has the highest upside.</p>
<p><strong>Christensen</strong>: Chelsea were the best defensive side at the back end of last season and I can&#8217;t see this changing for a while. The Dane impressed over the Euros but might be in for some rotation this season if Chelsea sign a centre back. At £5.0m he provides great value. Arsenal looked woeful against Brentford and with a number of players and signings still unavailable I don&#8217;t see a massive turnaround just yet.</p>

<h3>Midfield</h3>
<p><strong>Salah</strong>: There&#8217;s not too much to justify this man&#8217;s pick. The Reds are back in front of fans for the first time this season and opponents Burnley conceded the joint second most <strong>big chances</strong> (3) in GW1.</p>
<p><strong>Fernandes</strong>: Gameweek 1&#8217;s highest point scorer is another easy choice this week as he faces Southampton on the road. The Saint&#8217;s squad has been depleted over the summer with their main striker and centre back raided by teams above them.</p>
<p>They were put to the sword by an Everton attack who struggled at home last season conceding the joint second most <strong>big chances</strong> (3). Fernandes passed the eye test and registered his first hat-trick, without the need of a penalty and has still got reinforcements to return to help him offensively.</p>
<p><strong>Greenwood</strong>: The same can be said about Southampton and Greenwood is actually benefitting from late arrivals. It has allowed him plenty of minutes at a cute price for such a key position in a potent attack. His finish was clinical and he was unlucky to not pick up an assist from Pogba&#8217;s glaring miss.</p>
<p><strong>Benrahma: </strong>The Algerian has seemed to have taken over from where Lingard left off last season creating and having one <strong>big chance</strong> against Newcastle. Opponents Leicester were lucky to come away with a clean sheet and I&#8217;m expecting the Europa League pair to have an open game like the Hammers experienced last week. Depending on formation he might have some joy against Amartey who had a shocker against Wolves.</p>
<p><strong>Mahrez: </strong>95% of Man City players come with a risk of rotation, but I think the side&#8217;s second Algerian has this place at least for another week. Norwich is a plum opponent while they adjust to the top flight and I think he&#8217;s got the potential to go big this week.</p>

<p>He had one <strong>big chance</strong> against Spurs in a moderately quiet performance. City players were extremely hit and miss last season, so I&#8217;m hoping to start off on the right foot this season.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3>Forwards</h3>
<p><strong>Calvert-Lewin:</strong> Five <strong>shots in the box</strong> were the joint highest in Gameweek 1 and the Everton forward has the forward slot against Leeds for Gameweek 2. The forward bagged in this fixture last season but it wasn&#8217;t plain sailing against Leeds overall.</p>
<p>Despite an injury scare in pre-season the forward looks fit and firing but I&#8217;m not expecting Leeds to ship five this week. I do think he&#8217;ll be serviced well and he could have some joy in the air.</p>
<p><strong>Antonio: </strong>The striker did a bit of everything against Newcastle and he was one of the most impressive players for me. He topped the charts for <strong>xG</strong> (1.51) and <strong>big chances</strong> (3) and should test Leicester&#8217;s new centre back pairing.</p>

<p><strong>Foster</strong>, <strong>Dennis</strong>, <strong>Amartey</strong> and <strong>Livramento</strong> line up on the bench.</p>

<h3>Notable omissions</h3>
<p><strong>Sanchez</strong> was close to getting the number one spot, but Brighton&#8217;s defence won&#8217;t see any defenders return for Gameweek 2.</p>
<p>There just wasn&#8217;t enough midfield slots to fit <strong>Jota</strong> in against Burnley, but the fact he&#8217;ll see his minutes managed and potentially be rotated made side with Benrahma.</p>
<p>Aston Villa is a side in transition, otherwise I&#8217;d be all over their assets to face Newcastle. Martinez would have been an autopick last season but his £5.5m price tag is off putting. <strong>Ings</strong> could do the business this week but he was anonymous until the 97th minute.</p>
