<h2>FPL Gameweek 22 haulers</h2>
<h3>🥇 Patrick Dorgu &#8211; 15 points</h3>
<p>It was a perfect start for Manchester United&#8217;s new head coach Michael Carrick, with the Red Devils beating Manchester City 2-0.</p>
<p>Dorgu was the star performer and played out of position on the left of a three-man attack behind <strong>Bryan Mbeumo</strong>, who also got on the scoresheet upon returning from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).</p>
<p>No player in the league could better Dorgu&#8217;s total, which included clean sheet points and maximum bonus points.</p>

<h3>🥈 Robert Sanchez &#8211; 11 points</h3>
<p>Sanchez bounced back from an error-strewn performance in the Carabao Cup in midweek to haul, earning three bonus points in Chelsea&#8217;s 2-0 win over Brentford.</p>
<p>The goalkeeper made six saves, including a big chance for <strong>Kevin Schade </strong>&#8211; one of four attempts on goal for the midfielder.</p>

<h3>🥉 Florian Wirtz, Matz Sels, Jordan Pickford, Crysencio Summerville, Bruno Fernandes &#8211; 10 points</h3>
<p>The low-scoring gameweek led to a tightly packed points leaderboard and five players tying for third.</p>
<p>Among them was Fernandes, back in the number 10 role for United.</p>
<p>The Portuguese midfielder had a goal disallowed &#8211; one of three for the Red Devils &#8211; and created four big chances for his teammates. He also hit the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-2025-26-changes-defensive-contributions">defensive contribution</a>s threshold.</p>
<p>An away clean sheet for Everton against Aston Villa helped Pickford to a double-digit return, while Wirtz was Liverpool&#8217;s goalscorer in a frustrating 1-1 draw with Brentford.</p>
<p>Pickford and Sanchez were not the only goalkeepers among the top points scorers &#8211; Sels kept a clean sheet as Arsenal were held to a 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest.</p>

<h2>FPL Gameweek 22 howlers</h2>
<h3>Dominik Szoboszlai</h3>
<p>Szoboszlai has offered little attacking threat in recent weeks, failing to register an attacking return since Gameweek 15.</p>
<p>Set-pieces &#8211; and penalties in <strong>Mohamed Salah&#8217;s </strong>absence &#8211; have kept owners interested.</p>
<p>And the opportunity to score from the spot arrived in Gameweek 22, only for the Hungarian to smash the ball against the crossbar.</p>
<p>Salah is expected back from AFCON next week and Szoboszlai&#8217;s zero-pointer could see FPL managers sending him towards the exit door.</p>

<h2>FPL Gameweek 22 heartbreakers</h2>
<h3>Liverpool defenders</h3>
<p>Burnley (H) was strong enough reason to hold Liverpool defenders despite mixed fortunes for the Reds of late.</p>
<p>The Clarets created just 0.4 expected goals (xG) at Anfield to the Reds&#8217; league-leading 2.97, however <strong>Marcus Edwards&#8217; </strong>goal sealed a point for the visitors.</p>

<h3>Morgan Rogers and Hugo Ekitike</h3>
<p>Rogers has significantly outscored his expected points this season but Gameweek 22 was the opposite.</p>
<p>The Villa midfielder was frustrated, failing to convert any of his six shots. He had an xG of 0.78, his highest tally in a league match this season.</p>
<p>Ekitike meanwhile had the second highest expected goal involvements (xGI) of the weekend behind Szoboszlai but also failed to score or assist.</p>
<p>The Liverpool forward had one big chance and created one too.</p>

<li>Phil Foden went off at half-time against United &#8211; a potential broken hand was reported and although Pep Guardiola downplayed the chance of an injury, Foden left Old Trafford with his hand bandaged</li>
<li>Enzo Fernandez did not play as a number 10 for Chelsea, with Andrey Santos benched</li>
<li>Conor Gallagher made his Spurs debut in a deep midfield role &#8211; he did not pick up defensive contribution points</li>
<li>Bukayo Saka was benched for Arsenal</li>
<li>Cole Palmer completed 90 minutes but was spotted sitting on the ground after full-time, with his upper leg heavily strapped. The Athletic reported he was &#8216;100% fine&#8217; but lacking match fitness</li>
