<p>Last week, we correctly identified that a fatigued Newcastle would struggle against Bournemouth and that Manchester United wouldn't be able to handle Brighton.</p>
<p>There's one set of fixtures this week before the double and Liverpool have an enticing entry point, which makes it tempting to invest now. The question is who should you go for?</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Gameweek 23 fixtures analysed</strong></h2>
<h3>Bournemouth v Nottingham Forest</h3>
<p><strong>Last match:</strong> This is definitely a clash of the form teams in the league. Newcastle couldn’t handle Bournemouth’s intensity and Andoni Iraola clearly won the managerial battle. If it wasn’t for Liverpool, Forest could well be on their way to doing a Leicester.</p>
<p><strong>Head to head:</strong> The reverse fixture ended 1-1, as did the game at Bournemouth last season. <strong>Chris Wood</strong> scored in the previous game and <strong>Justin Kluivert</strong> scored last season.</p>
<h4><strong>Additional factors to consider</strong></h4>
<p>Bournemouth’s xG is good and they’re outperforming them at the moment. They generate a high shot volume but not that many big chances.</p>
<p>Forest have relatively poor xG but seem to have no problem converting the chances they do create.</p>
<p>Both have good defensive stats, with Forest’s being slightly better.</p>
<p>Bournemouth’s stats are excellent at home, but their attacking output has not been realised so far and they’ve only scored 12. Defensively, they’re right up there.</p>
<p>Forest are consistent regardless of venue but do tend to score slightly more away.</p>
<p>Based on the above, it suggests we could be on track for another 1-1. The odds are broadly aligned although weighted slightly more in favour of a 2-1.</p>
<p>For both sides, their weakness is their right-side. Bournemouth are also vulnerable against set-pieces.</p>
<p><strong>Antoine Semenyo</strong> has a good match-up here, as does <strong>Anthony Elanga</strong> if<strong> Callum Hudson-Odoi</strong> is injured. Forest tend to have a left-side preference as well.</p>
<p>The set-piece and headed attempt weakness is definitely something <strong>Wood </strong>could capitalise on.</p>
<p>Bournemouth have won the most penalties this season (seven) and Forest have only won two. Both have only conceded one all season.</p>

<h3>Brighton v Everton</h3>
<p><strong>Last match:</strong> It’s difficult to take much away from Brighton’s game against Manchester United. The return of <strong>Danny Welbeck</strong> does appear to have unlocked their attack but they were up against the worst United team ever - not my words. As for Everton, they’ve lost some of their defence-first approach but have gained more attacking threat under David Moyes so far.</p>
<p><strong>Head to head:</strong> Brighton smashed Everton 0-3 earlier in the season with goals from Welbeck and the in form <strong>Kaoru Mitoma</strong>. Both matches were 1-1 last season.</p>
