<h2>What is the optimal Liverpool triple up - and is it essential?</h2>
<p>Liverpool players are high on the agenda this week given the upcoming double.</p>
<p>While it's not essential to triple up on their assets, it's certainly a wise idea given their current form, unless you plan to use the Assistant Manager chip on Arne Slot.</p>
<p>This could of course wait until Gameweek 24 but Gameweek 23 feels like an excellent entry point ahead of Ipswich at Anfield.</p>
<p>Liverpool have scored 10 goals in the last four gameweeks, while Ipswich have conceded 10 in the same, including six against Manchester City last weekend.</p>
<p>Personally, I feel doubling up on the Liverpool attack for this run of games, including Wolves at home in Gameweek 25, is the optimal move.</p>

<p>Given the injury to <strong>Diogo Jota </strong>there's less competition for places in the front three, which will boost minutes for <strong>Luis Diaz</strong>, <strong>Cody Gakpo </strong>and <strong>Darwin Nunez</strong>.</p>
<p>Of this trio, it's Diaz and Nunez who have been recently competing for places in the number nine position, while Gakpo has been the mainstay on the left wing.</p>
<p>Gakpo has started all of their last 10 league games and is clearly a favourite of Slot. He is a forward in FPL and playing out of position in a midfield 'winger' role but this hasn't held him back.</p>
<p>He's managed five goals and one assist in this run of starts, with only <strong>Mohamed Salah </strong>scoring more FPL points among Liverpool's side in this period.</p>
<p>Gakpo is level on 49 points for this period with <strong>Trent Alexander-Arnold</strong>, who remains the most attractive of Liverpool's defence.</p>
<p>He's justifying his high price tag in the game, with one goal and one assist in the last four gameweeks plus two clean sheets, helping him to two double digit hauls in this spell.</p>
<p>Six goal involvements for the campaign places him among the most attacking defenders in the game, where he ranks top for both key passes (42) and big chances created (13).</p>

<p>The forward template has reached a plateau in recent weeks, with <strong>Alexander Isak </strong>in almost 60% of sides and <strong>Chris Wood's</strong> ownership at 43%.</p>
<p>But the majority of managers are playing in a 3-4-3 formation and so have the flexibility of being differential with the third forward spot. So who are the best picks to consider?</p>
