Liverpool warmed up for their upcoming FPL double gameweek with a comfortable win against Ipswich but Gameweek 24&#8217;s other doublers Everton have a major injury concern ahead of next week.

<h2>Calvert-Lewin injury latest as Ndiaye takes over penalty duties</h2>
Dominic Calvert-Lewin was looking like a tempting option in FPL, with some bringing him in early this weekend ahead of Double Gameweek 24.
But the Everton forward lasted only 12 minutes against Brighton, going off with a hamstring issue.
David Moyes, who also lost Orel Mangala to a knee injury, said post-match:
<blockquote>&#8220;They&#8217;re going to get checked. We&#8217;re a bit worried about both Dom and Mangala at the moment. They look as if they&#8217;ve picked up injuries.
&#8220;I don&#8217;t want to say it&#8217;s serious at the moment until we find out what the outcome are. I think the medical team seem to think they don&#8217;t look the best.&#8221;</blockquote>
Calvert-Lewin being ruled out of the double would leave the Toffees with only Beto up front. And with Dwight McNeil potentially needing surgery on his knee, the lack of options in the final third look thin.
Beto came on when Calvert-Lewin went off but it was Iliman Ndiaye who was trusted to take the penalty which gave Everton a 0-1 win.
At £5.4m, Ndiaye offers a potential budget option for the double, where Everton play Leicester (H) and Liverpool (H). He has now scored in his last two league games.

<h2>Gakpo hits form ahead of Liverpool&#8217;s double</h2>
Cody Gakpo scored twice as Liverpool warmed up for the double gameweek with a 4-1 home win over Ipswich.
Dominik Szoboszlai backed up his strong <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> from Gameweek 22 with a goal and assist against the Tractor Boys, earning 13 points.
But it was Gakpo who top scored, adding an assist for a 16 point haul.
Salah &#8211; captained by 92% of the top 250,000 FPL managers, scored one goal for an eight-pointer.
A late Jacob Greaves goal from a corner meant those who prioritised Liverpool attackers profited more than those on double defence &#8211; but Ibrahima Konate and Trent Alexander-Arnold both contributed assists.
The Reds conceded just 0.48 xG but Ipswich had two big chances to score.
Ipswich&#8217;s new loan signing Julio Enciso provided a debut assist for Greaves&#8217; header but was arguably lucky not to be sent off for a challenge on Wataru Endo.
In terms of minutes among Liverpool&#8217;s attackers, starts were handed to Gakpo, Salah and Luis Diaz up top, with Gakpo the first to depart on 68 minutes for Darwin Nunez. Szoboszlai also came off at this point for Harvey Elliott. Nunez had no shots in his time on the pitch.
Diaz was a late withdrawal on 86 minutes for Federico Chiesa.

<h2>Kluivert on target again but Ouattara&#8217;s time to shine</h2>
Bournemouth extended their unbeaten run to 11 league games with a 5-0 defeat of fellow high-flyers Nottingham Forest.
The scoreline was a little harsh on Forest from a <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> perspective, with Bournemouth expected goals (xG) 1.8 compared to their 0.88.
Forest also had the most shots on goal in the league (18), although only four found the target.
The Cherries are looking unstoppable at present though, with their players full of confidence.
Justin Kluivert came into the game on the back of a hat-trick against Newcastle and he opened the scoring with an effort from outside the box inside 10 minutes.
The Dutchman had a goal ruled out for offside in the build-up later on but he provided an assist for this week&#8217;s hat-trick hero Dango Ouattara. Antoine Semenyo added a fifth.

He is filling in up front for Iraola&#8217;s side amid their injury issues in this position and at £5.0m is another Cherries midfielder to consider alongside Kluivert and Semenyo.
Bournemouth have a home game against Liverpool in Double Gameweek 25, with Southampton (A) and Wolves (H) following straight after.

<h2>City debuts in Chelsea win</h2>
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola handed new signings Abdukodir Khusanov and Omar Marmoush their first starts for the 3-1 win over Chelsea.
It was a nightmare start for young defender Khusanov, whose weak header gifted the Blues an opener.
Marmoush &#8211; priced as a £7.0m forward &#8211; came away with no FPL points from his 74 minute debut but created one big chance and registered one key pass. He was praised for his performance by Guardiola after the game:

“It was not easy. [Reece] James was there man marking. James is fit he is so strong and so fast. But he made incredible runs and movement.
“He [Marmoush] is a calm guy and he has pace, he can shoot, he’s intelligent at defending. I am really pleased with what I have seen so far.”

Josko Gvardiol scored his fifth goal of the season and had three big chances &#8211; the joint most in the league in Gameweek 23.
Erling Haaland recorded his fifth league goal in five games and assisted Phil Foden&#8217;s winner. He is one behind Salah&#8217;s season total of 19 and one ahead of Alexander Isak, who scored twice against Southampton.

<h2>VAR rescues Mbeumo as Munoz gets attacking return</h2>
Bryan Mbeumo scored from the penalty spot as Brentford defeated Crystal Palace 1-2 at Selhurst Park.
Mbeumo opened the scoring in the second half but owners were fortunate to get his points, with his initial spot-kick striking the post.
VAR intervened though, with players ruled to be encroaching as the kick was taken, and Mbeumo made no mistake with the retake.
This wiped out Palace&#8217;s clean sheet points but owners of Daniel Munoz, who has looked threatening from an attacking perspective in recent weeks, had some joy when he assisted debutant Romain Esse.
