<h2>Chris Tan's fixture analysis: Double Gameweek 24</h2>
<p>Last week, we called that <strong>Cody Gakpo</strong> had a great positional match-up and it certainly paid off for those who backed him.</p>
<p>This week, all eyes are on the double gameweek, although don’t forget that there’s a blank in Gameweek 29 and some other juicy fixtures as well.</p>
<p>Quite a few have stocked up their transfers for this week but who are the best options for your shopping list?</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Double Gameweek 24 fixtures analysed</strong></h2>
<h3>Nottingham Forest v Brighton</h3>
<p><strong>Last match: </strong>Forest got blown away by Bournemouth and they’re not the first to have that experience. Brighton couldn’t create any clear-cut chances against Everton and that’s been an ongoing problem.</p>
<p><strong>Head to head: </strong>The reverse fixture ended 2-2 with goals from <strong>Danny Welbeck</strong> and a <strong>Chris Wood </strong>penalty. Brighton won both games last season but under a different manager.</p>

<h4><strong>Additional factors to consider</strong></h4>
<p>The attacking stats are similar for both sides, with Forest’s being slightly better.</p>
<p>Brighton tend to take more shots but they’re lower quality, while Nottingham Forest engineer big chances in a similar way to Brentford.</p>
<p>The Seagulls' defensive stats are exceptional. Forest’s have dropped recently after playing against Liverpool and Bournemouth but they’re still a very good defence. They’ve only conceded 10 in 11 at home.</p>
<p>Forest aren’t prolific at home but their defensive stats are better and the City Ground is a fortress. Brighton’s defensive stats are worse away but they do seem to score more on the road.</p>
<p>Overall, the stats suggest this should be a cagey affair and Forest will be eager to rectify what happened against Bournemouth. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 1-0 here. The odds suggest more of a 1-1.</p>
<p>Brighton are weakest on their left and for Forest’s it’s their right, so whoever wins the match up on that side of the pitch could get the upper hand.</p>
<p><strong>Kaoru Mitoma</strong> is tricky to handle. But Forest look a little unbalanced now due to the injury to <strong>Callum Hudson-Odoi</strong>, which has resulted in <strong>Anthony Elanga</strong> switching sides and they lack the threat from their right now.</p>
<p>Brighton have conceded five penalties this season and Forest have only conceded one. Something tells me <strong>Chris Wood</strong> will keep finding a way to score.</p>

<h3>Liverpool v Bournemouth (A) | Everton (A)</h3>
<p><strong>Last match</strong>: Liverpool won comfortably against Ipswich, which enabled them to rest players early. But Bournemouth have obliterated Forest, Newcastle and City this season. Can they add Liverpool to their list?</p>
<p>In addition, Everton are feeling the new manager bounce under David Moyes and it’s the last derby at Goodison Park. Not the ideal double…</p>
<p><strong>Head to head</strong>: Liverpool smashed Bournemouth 3-0 in the reverse fixture thanks to a brace from Diaz but Bournemouth have come a long way since then.</p>
<p>The game against Everton is the rescheduled game that was postponed earlier in the season. They beat Liverpool at Goodison last season and drew the season before.</p>
<p><strong>Recovery</strong>: Liverpool play PSV away on Wednesday night, which only leaves two recovery days before they face a well-rested Bournemouth who thrive on a high-intensity approach.</p>
<p>Luckily for the Reds, they can effectively rest the majority of their starters, as they’ve already qualified. They have two games before they face Everton, who have an FA Cup game against Bournemouth.</p>
<p>Again though, they can play their starters against Spurs and rest them for the FA cup game prior to this.</p>

<h4><strong>Additional factors to consider</strong></h4>
<p>Liverpool have the best recent xG in the league by a distance and only City have averaged more goals lately.</p>
<p>Bournemouth’s defensive stats are very good and 18-year-old <strong>Dean Huijsen</strong> looks set to be the new <strong>Virgil van Dijk</strong>.</p>
<p>Everton’s stats look more inviting and they’re more attack focused than they were under Sean Dyche.</p>
