FPL Gameweek 28 tips: Predicted points and captaincy picks

Mohamed Salah tops the Hub AI predicted points chart this week, thanks to Liverpool’s home fixture against West Ham.
But given the Egyptian’s relatively low ownership, the majority of managers will be looking elsewhere for their captaincy choice.
Erling Haaland and Bruno Fernandes will be popular picks, with the AI highlighting Hugo Ekitike and Igor Thiago as differential punts for the armband.
Haaland and Manchester City travel to Leeds, who have the sixth best home defensive record in the league. They’ve average 1.1 expected goals conceded (xGC) per game at Elland Road.
Fernandes and Manchester United host Crystal Palace, who have largely struggled in recent weeks.
Two successive Bruno blanks may push managers towards Haaland – despite underwhelming returns of his own – but 10 pointers in Gameweek 24 and 25 are a reminder of what the Portuguese playmaker can do.

Fixture swings begin from FPL Gameweek 28

FPL Gameweek 28 marks the end of Chelsea’s fine fixture run.
It’s Arsenal (A) up next for the Blues, meaning many FPL managers are moving off their players.
Brentford, Liverpool and Fulham are top of the Hub’s fixture ticker up to Gameweek 32, while Bournemouth are also of wide interest.
Meanwhile, Blank Gameweek 31 is edging closer. Arsenal and Wolves will be fixtureless that week – and Manchester City and Crystal Palace are likely to join them.
These teams are propping up the bottom of the ticker as a result.

FPL Gameweek 28 tips: Top transfer targets

It’s all about budget midfielders this week, with lots of chat in the FPL community about Dango Ouattara, Harry Wilson, Rayan and others.
We’ve taken a look at the best bets in this category in a special article, with Ouattara leading the way for predicted points among the options above.

Despite the midfield debate, it’s actually defenders who are the most-bought ahead of Gameweek 28.
Virgil van Dijk and Nico O’Reilly are the top two transfer targets, with both registering back-to-back double-digit hauls.
Van Dijk’s fixtures make him a superb buy this week and while the next three for City are also appealing, their likely blank should be factored in before rushing to O’Reilly.
Three Chelsea players – including Enzo Fernandez – are the most transferred-out players, with FPL managers recognising the shifting fixture situation.
