            <p>The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) transfer market has been busy ahead of Gameweek 28 - but which of the most popular transfers in should you follow and which are best avoiding?</p>

<h2>Avoid: Mateta and Cunha</h2>
<p>The Gameweek 27 deadline was last Tuesday (February 25) - and many early transfers before the weekend's FA Cup games look to have turned out badly.</p>
<p>Mateta and Cunha were brought into more than 350,000 teams at the time of writing but both are set to miss Gameweek 28.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-gameweek-28-team-news">Mateta is a major doubt</a> for Crystal Palace's game against Ipswich (H) after a high challenge by Milwall's goalkeeper left him needing 25 stitches in his ear.</p>
<p>The Frenchman has been in superb form, scoring eight goals in eight league games.</p>
<p>But with Palace without a fixture in Blank Gameweek 29 and a likely injury absence in Gameweek 28, Mateta is one to avoid for now.</p>
<p>He could be a buy again from Gameweek 30. If fit, he will play Southampton (A) and Brighton (H) before a double of Manchester City (A) and Newcastle (A).</p>
<p>With Wolves having a game in the blank and favourable fixtures either side, Cunha looked a perfect option for the coming weeks.</p>
<p>He was the most popular transfer in ahead of Gameweek 27 on the back of attacking returns in three consecutive games.</p>
<p>But disaster struck in the cup when he was <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-yellow-cards-and-suspensions">sent off</a> against Bournemouth and he is now set to miss three matches at least.</p>
<p>This makes the Brazilian a firm avoid - and a sell for owners. He is in around 16% of teams.</p>
