FPL Gameweek 29 began with injury concerns for Erling Haaland (£12.0m) but the Norwegian was not the only fitness worry for fantasy managers.
Here, we take a look at the major injury news of the weekend, including updates on Bukayo Saka (£8.6m), Wilfried Zaha (£7.2m) and a first league start for Gabriel Jesus (£7.9m) since his knee injury at the World Cup.

<h2>FPL Gameweek 29 injury news</h2>
The fitness of Erling Haaland (£12.0m) was the biggest talking point ahead of FPL Double Gameweek 29.
The Manchester City forward was a doubt for his side&#8217;s Saturday lunchtime game against Liverpool, after picking up a <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/erling-haaland-fpl-injury-news">groin injury</a> before the international break.
Haaland was not in the squad and watched the match in the stands.
Pep Guardiola had revealed in his Friday press conference that the Norwegian&#8217;s fitness would be assessed later that afternoon.
Post-match, Guardiola told journalists Haaland was &#8216;getting better&#8217; but had not felt ready on Friday. He <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHT9CMhJPCY">added</a>:
<blockquote>&#8220;We have seven days to Southampton &#8211; hopefully he can help us like he has done all season.&#8221;</blockquote>
FPL managers now face another anxious wait for news ahead of Gameweek 30, with his return far from certain.

<h3>Saka&#8217;s illness takes FPL managers by surprise</h3>
While Haaland&#8217;s potential absence from the starting 11 was well known ahead of deadline, Bukayo Saka&#8217;s (£8.6m) benching for Arsenal&#8217;s game against Leeds on Saturday was more surprising.
There had been no word from Mikel Arteta of a problem for the winger in the build-up to the weekend.
But when team sheets were released, Saka was only named on the bench.  He was replaced in the starting 11 by Gabriel Jesus (£7.9m), who made his full return from a knee injury.
The Brazilian had played 38 minutes over the last two league games but managed an hour in the 4-1 win.
He was the standout player too, scoring twice and picking up maximum bonus for a 12 point FPL return.
His performance led to the highest expected goals tally in the gameweek so far (1.51), with the forward topping the charts for big chances (three).
Jesus was the most-owned player in the game at the start of the season &#8211; and interest could build once again, despite <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-fixtures-the-best-and-worst-runs">Arsenal&#8217;s tough fixture run</a> and lack of double gameweeks.
Arteta said of Saka and Jesus:
<blockquote>&#8220;He [Saka] wasn’t able to train yesterday as he wasn’t well but today he feels a little bit better, so we’ve put Gabby in.
&#8220;He brings a lot of energy, quality, movement and chaos. He’s a player we’ve been missing and it’s good to have him back.&#8221;</blockquote>

<h3>Zaha stars before suspected groin injury</h3>
Jesus &#8211; like new Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson &#8211; was back in Gameweek 29.
But the opposite proved the case for Hodgson&#8217;s star man Wilfried Zaha (£7.2m), who limped off with a suspected groin injury in Palace&#8217;s 2-1 win over Leicester.
The midfielder had been his usual talismanic self &#8211; having a gameweek-leading seven shots in the box &#8211; before being replaced after 45 minutes.
Hodgson said post-match:
<blockquote>&#8220;I&#8217;m certainly concerned but I have no idea. Muscle strains can be long jobs.
&#8220;If we&#8217;re very lucky it might not be long. I just have to wait and trust the physios.
&#8220;If I know one thing it&#8217;s that he is a quick healer, but we have to see firstly how bad it is.&#8221;</blockquote>
Zaha, who was spotted at the O2 Arena on Saturday night for the Anthony Joshua boxing match, <a href="https://twitter.com/wilfriedzaha/status/1642552393912004612">tweeted</a> his hope that he would be &#8216;back very soon&#8217;.

<h3>Ferguson missing as De Zerbi hints at potential lineup changes</h3>
Other injury doubts for Gameweek 29 included Marcus Rashford (£7.3m), who played 90 minutes in Manchester United&#8217;s 2-0 loss to Newcastle.
Sven Botman (£4.5m) and Kai Havertz (£7.6m) shook off international break illnesses to play full parts in their respective games.
Havertz&#8217;s teammate Reece James (£5.8m) also completed a full 90 minutes.
The international break saw Brighton teenager Evan Ferguson (£4.6m) make his Republic of Ireland debut.
He was missing from the Seagulls&#8217; squad for their 3-3 draw with Brentford through injury, the nature of which is unknown.
Roberto De Zerbi said after the match:
<blockquote>&#8220;Ferguson has an injury but I don&#8217;t know if he will be able to play on Tuesday. He is important but today [Danny] Welbeck was one of the best players on the pitch.&#8221;</blockquote>
Brighton&#8217;s Pervis Estupinan (£4.8m) was flagged by some in the FPL community as a doubt, given he had a late flight home from Australia ahead of the weekend.
But the Ecuador full-back started and played 82 minutes, with other long-distance travellers Alexis Mac Allister (£5.5m) and Kaoru Mitoma (£5.6m) both playing 90 minutes.
De Zerbi hinted at the potential for changes for Tuesday&#8217;s game against Bournemouth.
He specifically noted those who took part in international games could be &#8216;tired&#8217;, with Brighton having 14 players who represented their countries.
In his Monday press conference ahead of the Bournemouth game, he said Ferguson was available.
