<h2>Mitrovic impossible to ignore?</h2>
<p>Fulham striker <strong>Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.6m) </strong>scored his third goal of the season on Saturday, netting in Fulham&#8217;s 3-2 victory over Brentford.</p>
<p>That matches his tally from the 2020/21 season &#8211; and so far, the Serbian is outscoring even <strong>Erling Haaland (£11.7m) </strong>in several key statistics.</p>

<p>Mitrovic leads the league for shots (15), shots on target (eight), shots in the box (14), xG (3.76), expected goal involvement percentage (xGI%) &#8211; 82% and expected points (xPts) &#8211; 27.72.</p>
<p>The Norwegian leads the way on the stat which really matters, scoring 24 points to Mitrovic&#8217;s 18 so far. A missed penalty in Gameweek 2 accounts for a good chunk of the gap between Mitrovic&#8217;s expected and actual points.</p>
<p>But the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> suggest both are good assets  and with the gulf in price points, it is unlikely to be a case of either-or.</p>
<p>In fact, the debate for many FPL managers will be whether the Fulham frontman justifies a place in their team as a third striker, alongside the likes of Haaland and <strong>Gabriel Jesus (£8.1m)</strong>.</p>
<p>Fulham still face a difficult set of fixtures up to Gameweek 7, with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea to come &#8211; but the run turns come Gameweek 8, around the time when many will be looking to <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-fantasy-premier-league-wildcard-and-when-to-use-it">Wildcard</a>.</p>

<h2>Stats success: Harrison and Hub differentials deliver in Gameweek 3</h2>
<p>Last week, we tipped <strong>Jack Harrison (£6.0m)</strong> as a low-owned player who had caught our eye in the early stages of the new season.</p>
<p>Harrison led the way creatively, with league-leading <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> on key passes, big chances created and successful crosses.</p>
<p>His teammate <strong>Rodrigo (£6.3m) </strong>has been the bandwagon Leeds pick given his goalscoring &#8211; and the Spaniard continued his fine form with his fourth goal of the season.</p>
<p>But Harrison also got in on the action in Gameweek 3. He bettered Rodrigo&#8217;s 13 point haul, scoring 14 points courtesy of a goal, assist and three bonus points.</p>
<p>With Rodrigo continuing to rise in price, Harrison continues to offer a route into the Leeds attack for those priced out of the Premier League&#8217;s top scorer.</p>
<p>And talking of successes, Hub contributor <a href="https://twitter.com/FPL_JianBatra">Jian Batra&#8217;s</a> three <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-differentials">differential picks</a> &#8211; <strong>Pascal Gross (£5.7m), Ilkay Gundogan (£7.5m) </strong>and <strong>Ivan Toney (£7.2m) </strong>all rewarded backers will attacking returns in Gameweek 3.</p>

<h2>Stats Watch: Which low-owned FPL player has caught the eye?</h2>
<p><strong>Anthony Gordon (£5.5m) </strong>has reportedly caught the eye of Chelsea &#8211; but not many FPL managers.</p>
<p>The Everton midfielder is in just 1.7% of teams, with the likes of <strong>Leon Bailey (4.9m) </strong>and <strong>Pedro Neto (£5.4m)</strong> attracting more early adopters.</p>
<p>Gordon has yet to register a return this season &#8211; but Gameweek 3 perhaps should have been the turning point.</p>
<p>Five shots on target and one big chance amounted to an xG of 1.12.</p>
<p>From Gameweek 1-3, Gordon&#8217;s shot <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> are among the best in the league, with the youngster having the second-highest number of shots on target.</p>
<p>He is one to keep an eye on given his price point.</p>

<p>With the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta" aria-label="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/">stats</a> out of the way, now time for a little light-hearted content.</p>
<p>Viewers of the Hub’s <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mdxcg-z0nOE&amp;t=3556s">Green Arrow</a> podcast will know that each week this season, host <a href="https://twitter.com/FFH_Fergi">Fergi</a> is naming one player under 1% ownership who he thinks could return in the given FPL gameweek .</p>
<p>If he’s wrong…and so far his track record isn’t great…he’ll be adding £10 to a pot to be donated to charity at the end of the season.</p>
<p>In Gameweek 1, he unsuccessfully picked Newcastle’s <strong>Miguel Almiron</strong> <strong>(£5.0m)</strong> as his punt of choice.</p>
<p>Gameweek 2’s punt was Wolves’ <strong>Leander Dendoncker</strong>. The Belgian was another letdown.</p>
<p>For Gameweek 3, Fergi picked Brighton&#8217;s <strong>Solly March (£5.0)</strong>, who again failed to register an attacking return.</p>

<h2>Which Premier League player is the best at FPL?</h2>
<p>The <a href="https://www.fplbot.app/virtual-leagues/pl">FPL Bot website</a> tracks a group of verified Premier League players’ fantasy teams, with the likes of Bamford, Martin Odegaard and James Maddison listed.</p>
<p>Shane Duffy was the pick of the bunch last week and he retained top spot at the end of Gameweek 3, two points ahead of Eddie Nketiah.</p>
<p>Duffy&#8217;s 201 points is good enough for a rank of 285k.</p>

<p>It is very early days in FPL, with the number-one ranked players typically those who have played an early chip.</p>
<p>There is currently a three-way tie at the top of the rankings, with the trio on 266 points.</p>
<p>Greece&#8217;s Kostas Tsoumanis is the first name on the leaderboard, scoring 76 points in Gameweek 3.</p>
<p>Kostas has however used both his <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-fpl-bench-boost-and-when-to-use-it">Bench Boost</a> and <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-fantasy-premier-league-triple-captain-and-when-to-use-it">Triple Captain</a> already.</p>
