<h2>FPL Gameweek 35: Teams and fixtures to target</h2>
<p>Spread betting projections, where available, are taken from Hub partner site <a href="https://www.notonlyfpl.co.uk/">Not Only FPL</a> which uses Spreadex.</p>
<p>These projections often shift as information like team news emerges.</p>
<h3>⚽ Target for goals: Leeds, Manchester City and Arsenal</h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>Leeds</strong>: 2.11 v Burnley (H)</li>
<li><strong>Manchester City</strong>: 2.09 v Everton (A)</li>
<li><strong>Arsenal</strong>: 1.99 v Fulham (H)</li>
<li><strong>Bournemouth</strong>: 1.95 v Crystal Palace (H)</li>
</ul>
<p>Leeds are the frontrunners this week as they face the league whipping boys, but it’s not quite the same as one of the traditional top six playing against them. Leeds aren’t levels above.</p>
<p>However, it does lead to a dilemma for those on the wildcard on whether to double defence or attack.</p>
<p>Manchester City have the bit between their teeth as they’re well and truly in relentless mode, and Everton have actually performed better away from home this season.</p>
<p>Arsenal have the opportunity to go six points ahead of Manchester City and could deal them an early psychological blow, however they will go into this game post Champions League which could sap their energy levels.</p>
<p>On paper Crystal Palace are strong defensively, but with an away game against Shakhtar on Thursday night followed by the second leg, this match will be a low priority against a rested Bournemouth side.</p>

<h3>💪 Arsenal, Leeds, Manchester City</h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>Arsenal</strong>: 43% v Fulham (H)</li>
<li><strong>Leeds</strong>: 43% v Burnley (H)</li>
<li><strong>Manchester City</strong>: 39% v Everton (A)</li>
</ul>
<p>Sandwiched between Champions League games, you’d expect Arsenal to aim to kill the game against Fulham off and preserve energy, which should lead to their traditional 1-0 type of scenario.</p>
<p>Despite their faults Burnley are capable of scoring, but you can see why there’s a tough decision between double Leeds defence and attack for wildcarders this week.</p>
<p>Everton don’t carry much attacking threat, and City are more than capable of shutting them out, although they do suffer from occasional lapses of concentration.</p>

<h2>FPL Gameweek 35: Players to target</h2>
<p>Here are my top five players to target with their opponents' weaknesses in mind:</p>
<h3>🥇 Dominic Calvert-Lewin (v Burnley)</h3>
<p><strong>Target: Zonal match-up and shots in the box</strong></p>
<p>The xG (expected goals) stats for Leeds are reasonable without being great, however Burnley have the weakest recent defensive stats in the league.</p>
<p>Furthermore, Burnley haven’t registered a single clean sheet away from home all season, and have the second worst away xGC stats in the league.</p>
<p>Burnley have conceded the most shots from their centre in recent games and the most shots in the box. This has been highlighted by the centre forward scoring against them in their last few matches.</p>
<p>Calvert-Lewin should get plenty of chances here.</p>

<h3>🥈 Nico O'Reilly (v Everton)</h3>
<p><strong>Target: Zonal match-up</strong></p>
<p>City have the best recent xG stats in the league and the best away attacking stats across the season.</p>
<p>Everton’s recent defensive stats are the fifth-worst, and they’ve typically performed better away from home this season.</p>
<p>In recent games, Everton have conceded the second-most shots in the league from their right.</p>
<p>Normally, I’d look at the left forward to target this, however City’s system doesn’t quite work like that. <strong>Jeremy Doku</strong> will create space on the left for O'Reilly to break through and exploit.</p>
<p>As an aside, Everton’s secondary weakness is their centre. In previous games, the opposition centre forward has scored, and <strong>Erling Haaland</strong> braced in the reverse fixture (O'Reilly picked up an assist).</p>

<p>The inital team stats match-up is a good one, as Brighton’s attacking stats are decent and Newcastle’s defensive stats are terrible.</p>
