<h2>How this article helped in Gameweek 36: Eze, Watkins and Wood return</h2>
<p>Last week, we highlighted that <strong>Eberechi Eze</strong> had a great match up and boy did he deliver!</p>
<p>Bournemouth’s central weakness was exposed by <strong>Ollie Watkins</strong>, as we predicted and <strong>Chris Wood</strong> validated how Leicester’s weaknesses line up for him.</p>
<p>This week it’s a tricky one with two teams distracted by the Europa League cup final and two teams that will play the FA cup final prior to their fixtures.</p>
<p>The league is done, relegation is settled and it’s just those fighting for European places left that have something to play for (other than individuals looking for Summer moves).</p>
<p>With that in mind, who should you target that has the potential to go big?</p>

<p>Watch out, it’s a Friday deadline, set the bus team now!</p>
<p>You can see that we’re going in blind with regards to our City and Crystal Palace players, as we won’t receive any news prior to their games given the priority is the cup final.</p>
<p>At a glance, Aston Villa appear to have the best fixture but they’re chasing results rather than performance.</p>

<h2><strong>Who did well in the reverse fixtures? </strong></h2>
<p>Last time around, Nottingham Forest were the team to own, however their current vibe is nowhere near as good as it was earlier in the season as the pressure kicks in.</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Gameweek 37: Clean sheet and goalscoring odds</strong></h2>
<p>As ever, the spread odds from <a href="https://x.com/robtFPL" target="_blank" rel="noopener">RobtFPL on X</a> are a great tool to project goals and clean sheets.</p>

<h2>In-form teams: Attacking stats</h2>
<p>Newcastle are still the top dogs and they could potentially finish second in the league. Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are the next best.</p>

<h2><strong>In-form teams: Defensive stats</strong></h2>
<p>Leicester and Ipswich (and now Nottingham Forest) remain the teams to target.</p>
<p>Southampton have tightened up although it’s unclear how much of that was influenced by wanting to avoid having the worst ever points tally and now that record remains with Derby, they could loosen up.</p>
<p>In addition, you can see the impact of the Champions League race in the defensive stats for the teams battling it out. Be warned though, that could be at the detriment of their attack.</p>

<p>Don’t be too quick to sell <strong>Omar Marmoush</strong>, City missed his energy and he hit the woodwork when he came on.</p>
<p>Eze’s clearly in a purple patch, as he looks to attract potential buyers.</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Gameweek 37 fixtures analysed</strong></h2>
<h3>Aston Villa v Spurs</h3>
<p><strong>Last game</strong>: Spurs smashed Aston Villa 4-1 in the reverse fixture, but that was prior to them going all in in Europe. <strong>Morgan Rogers</strong> scored a consolation goal.</p>
<p><strong>Key Stats</strong>: On the surface this looks like a great match up, Villa’s attacking stats are strong and Spurs’ defensive stats are awful. In addition, Villa tend to score more at home, although Spurs concede slightly less away.</p>
<p><strong>Weaknesses to target</strong>: Spurs leak big chances and allow the most shots from their right, then their centre.</p>
<p><strong>Players to target</strong>: All of the above factors favour Watkins.</p>
<p><strong>Predicted outcome</strong>: Spurs don’t keep clean sheets, this should be a comfortable win for Villa.</p>
<p><strong>Penalties</strong>: Spurs have only conceded two penalties this season and Aston Villa have won six.</p>
<p><strong>Things to note: </strong>Spurs are primarily focused on the Europa League final on Wednesday, and I expect early rests as the players won’t want to risk injuries. From the Villa perspective, they still have a fighting chance of the Champions League if they win their last two. With that in mind, I expect a more conservative approach to consolidate the win rather than to put Spurs to the sword.</p>

<h3>Chelsea v Manchester United</h3>
<p><strong>Last game</strong>: this ended 1-1 with no goal involvement for <strong>Cole Palmer</strong>. Prior to this week, many were suggesting he’d be a stand out option, however sentiments may have now changed.</p>
<p><strong>Key Stats</strong>: Chelsea’s recent xG stats are terrible and Manchester United’s xGC stats are surprisingly strong. Across the seaosn, Chelsea’s home xG is the third best and United’s away xGC is the fifth worst but they’ve only conceded 25 in 18, which isn’t terrible.</p>
<p><strong>Weaknesses to target</strong>: United allow the most shots from their left and centre.</p>
<p><strong>Players to target</strong>: Those are the zones that Palmer operates in.</p>
<p><strong>Predicted outcome</strong>: I don’t forsee this will be very high scoring.</p>
<p><strong>Penalties</strong>: United have conceded four penalties this season and Chelsea have won five.</p>
<p><strong>Things to note</strong>? Chelsea have to win their next two games, that suggests they won’t be trying to rack up huge scores, it’s all about the three points. Similar to Spurs, United’s priority is the Europa final but they will want to head into the fixture with momentum and I wouldn’t expect mass rotation.</p>
