<h2><strong>FPL Gameweek 38 fixtures analysed</strong></h2>
<h3>Bournemouth v Leicester</h3>
<p><strong>Last game:</strong> Leicester won the reverse fixture 1-0, as Bournemouth didn’t start the season well. The Foxes will be without <strong>Jamie Vardy </strong>though.</p>
<p><strong>Key stats:</strong> Bournemouth’s recent xG is poor. They’ve really gone off the boil but they face the side with the worst recent xGC stats. In addition Leicester have the worst away xGC in the league and have conceded 44 away goals. On the flipside, Bournemouth are far more prolific away and have only scored 21 at home.</p>
<p><strong>Weaknesses to target:</strong> Leicester leak big chances and concede the most shots from their left. They’re terrible at defending crosses and headed attempts.</p>
<p><strong>Players to target:</strong> <strong>Antoine Semenyo</strong> plays on the right and could exploit Leicester’s weakness. He’s a 90 minute man and could potentially be on penalties if <strong>Justin Kluivert </strong>isn’t on the pitch. If he’s not on penalties (assuming Kluivert isn’t on), then <strong>Evanilson</strong> will be. Evanilson is leading the team for goal involvement and is their main aerial threat.</p>
<p><strong>Predicted outcome:</strong> Without Vardy, I struggle to see where the goals are coming from and Bournemouth should score a couple here.</p>
<p><strong>Penalties:</strong> Bournemouth have won the second most penalties this season (seven) and Leicester have conceded four.</p>
<p><strong>Things to note:</strong> Neither team have much to play for, which is the perfect scenario to try to catch a haul. An open, chaotic game is a dream for FPL points potential.</p>

<h3>Fulham v Manchester City</h3>
<p><strong>Last game:</strong> City won the reverse fixture 3-2, although the goals came from an unusual source. <strong>Erling Haaland</strong> blanked and <strong>Mateo Kovacic</strong> hauled.</p>
<p><strong>Key stats:</strong> City’s recent xG is good without being great and Fulham’s recent xGC is similar. The Cottagers' xG is poor, which is good for those holding City defenders. City’s away xG is much worse than their home stats and they’ve only scored 27 goals away. In addition, Fulham have the fifth best home xGC in the league.</p>
<p><strong>Weaknesses to target:</strong> Fulham concede slightly more shots from their left but other than that they don’t have any glaring weaknesses.</p>
<p><strong>Players to target:</strong> It’s unclear who will play on the right for Manchester City.</p>
<p><strong>Predicted outcome:</strong> The stats suggest City are unlikely to score many here but they should have a good chance of shutting Fulham out and securing the points.</p>
<p><strong>Penalties:</strong> Fulham have only conceded three penalties this season and City have won the same amount.</p>
<p><strong>Things to note:</strong> As long as City don’t lose, they’re pretty much qualified for the Champions League and that should dictate how they approach this game. I wouldn’t target any attackers but the clean sheet prospects are good.</p>
