<h1>Fantasy football Free Hit team for FPL Gameweek 38</h1>
<p><em>In this Fantasy Premier League series <a href="https://twitter.com/FPL_Junior">FPL Junior</a> (four top 13k finishes in last four seasons) shares his FPL tips by selecting a team each week to try and score as many points as possible. In essence, he will be playing his  Free Hit chip every single Gameweek. </em></p>
<p>We&#8217;ve finally made it. The final Gameweek of the season is here and the final chance for managers to use their Free Hit chip.</p>
<p>Typically, chaos ensues the final Sunday of the season and it&#8217;s not easy to predict which means there will be a large variance in scores that can either shoot you up the ranks or leave you with a sour taste in your mouth over the off season.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t think we&#8217;ll see too many clean sheets this week as teams go all out in order to achieve their goals or teams sleepwalk into the offseason. But there&#8217;s still some obvious and safe choices that must be had no matter your position heading into the last Gameweek.</p>

<h2>FPL Gameweek 38 Free Hit Team</h2>

<h2 style="text-align: left;">Goalkeeper</h2>
<p>I&#8217;m not 100% sure <strong>Pope</strong> will start but if he does, he looks like a great option against the Sheffield Utd attack. Burnley haven&#8217;t been as successful defensively as last season but they&#8217;re pitted against the league&#8217;s worst attack. If he does miss out, I&#8217;ve got sufficient cover on the bench.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: left;">Defence</h2>
<p><strong>Alexander-Arnold </strong>maintains his place for the fourth week running as Liverpool look to round off their successful pursuit for a top 4 finish. Crystal Palace&#8217;s bright spark and red-hot forward, Benteke, may miss the final game against his former club which boosts their appeal of a clean sheet.</p>
<p>Trent&#8217;s visually been extremely offensive over the final stage of this season and he&#8217;s the one to own from the Liverpool backline, however, Robertson provides an alternative option (which I couldn&#8217;t pursue as you&#8217;ll see later) or a potential double up and he carries plenty of creativity too as was shown against Burnley during the week.</p>
<p>FPL&#8217;s out of position, highest scoring defender and budget-friendly darling, <strong>Stuart Dallas</strong>, is in for Leeds&#8217; home game against West Brom. Leeds racked up their 12th clean sheet of the season in their remarkable debut campaign in the Premier League and the Northern Irishman is involved week in week out at both ends of the park.</p>

<p>He regularly gets shots off and despite them being low quality chances, his shots test the keeper and he&#8217;s a brace away from ending the season with 10 goals.</p>
<p>Despite European failure, Arsenal have ended the season strongly compared to how they started it and they finish the season against Brighton and with a chance to make up a number of places and get into Europe. <strong>Tierney</strong> is Arsenal&#8217;s most offensive defender and with money not looking tight this week, he&#8217;s worth shelling out the extra cash, but Holding provides a cheaper alternative who has a tendency to score bonus points.</p>
<p>Brighton are sound defensively but have problems up top and will be without Maupay and Welbeck, leaving them very light up top.</p>

<h2>Midfield</h2>
<p>Liverpool require three points to secure a top-four finish and I&#8217;m confident they will brush Crystal Palace aside once again this season<strong>. Salah </strong>and <strong>Mane </strong>are the duo I&#8217;ve opted for to complete the triple up and I think the Reds will score at least two on Sunday but unfortunately not reach the seven goals they did in the reverse fixture.</p>
<p>Crystal Palace, their players and manager all have little to play for other than pride, so it will be hard to tell whether they will be up to try to prevent Liverpool from securing Champions League football.</p>
<p>For the last couple of months, Liverpool have easily been the most attacking side in the league and their minimal rotation is also another boost for the final game of the season.</p>
<p>I&#8217;d have been shocked at the start of the season if I thought <strong>Willock</strong> would feature in the XI, but he&#8217;s deserved his chance in the side and hopefully the ship hasn&#8217;t sailed.</p>
<p>The Magpies face Fulham, who&#8217;ve shipped the joint most big chances (11) over the last four Gameweeks. Over that time Willock tops midfielders for big chances (4) and only Salah has a higher xG than the £4.8m midfielder.</p>
<p>Predicting Pep has been a disaster over the last two months but I&#8217;m dancing with fire for one last time. <strong>De Bruyne</strong> needs a start before the Champions League final in a weeks time and will likely get 60 minutes at a minimum unless he&#8217;s afforded 30 minutes off the bench.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m more confident in the latter and Man City have had joy in this fixture over the past few seasons.</p>

<h2>Forwards</h2>
<p><strong>Bamford&#8217;s </strong>frustrated the side recently as I&#8217;ve managed to dodge his hauls but I think he&#8217;s an easy choice against West Brom who are top for xGC (14.56) over the last six. Since Leeds&#8217; fixtures have turned easier (last four Gameweeks) their attacking <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> are still mid table and don&#8217;t stand out, but their number of goals scored (9) is impressive.</p>
<p>Bamford&#8217;s had just two big chances and an xG of 1.66 which is a bit underwhelming but he has had his minutes managed. I think he&#8217;ll exploit West Brom&#8217;s defence and have some good chances, but my only concern is if he gets taken off early in the second half.</p>
<p><strong>Antonio</strong> is up against Southampton who sit top for xGC (9.12) and big chances conceded (11) over the last four. West Ham are still clinging onto a Europa League position and a point would see them achieve that. The forward has had the joint second most big chances (4) and is one goal off beating his Premier League goal scoring record.</p>

<p>It was tough to pick the final forward place but a combination of form, fixture and situation made me land at <strong>Iheanacho&#8217;s</strong> feet. The forward faces a feeble Tottenham defence who look all over the place in a crunch match where they need to win and hope for the best.</p>
<p>The forward has blanked only on two occasions over his last 11 games and Leicester have a lot of money riding on this game.</p>

<h2>Bench</h2>
<p><strong>Leno</strong>, <strong>Raphinha</strong>, <strong>Chilwell </strong>and <strong>Coufal</strong> complete the XV and more than likely will be needed.</p>

<h2>Gameweek 38 Captain</h2>
<p><strong>Salah </strong>is the final captain of the season.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h2>Notable omissions</h2>
<p>A Chelsea attacker looks like a good option against Aston Villa but I&#8217;m unsure how Tuchel will line up. <strong>Mount</strong> is always a likely candidate to start but he hasn&#8217;t been afforded a rest in two weeks. Chelsea do also require a win to secure top four, so there&#8217;s arguably the most riding on them on Sunday.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m Spurs-less this week but <strong>Kane</strong> always carries a threat whether he&#8217;s in form or not. The striker has been dropping deep in an attempt to get on the ball and has found the back of the net just once in his last four games.</p>
<p>Man City is a similar situation to Chelsea with the UCL top of their mind, but the lineup seems even more unpredictable, so I&#8217;m treading lightly. <strong>Aguero</strong> is a sentimental pick in my opinion but he would take any penalty that was won if he was on the pitch. Everton are stronger on the road but I still see them shipping a few goals.</p>
<p>Burnley&#8217;s attackers are a nice differential this week away to Sheffield Utd. Neither team has anything on the line but I think <strong>Chris</strong> <strong>Wood</strong> will get some joy against Sheffield Utd&#8217;s defence.</p>
<p>Man Utd are likely to rotate, so I&#8217;m also avoiding any of their players as their second-string side tend to struggle. <strong>Greenwood</strong> would be the only player I&#8217;d consider, but there&#8217;s still a good chance he gets rested after starting this Gameweek but he is also the most likely to start from the usual starters.</p>
<p>Arsenal face a sturdy Brighton defence who have Dunk returning but are still without a few defenders. Arsenal attackers have failed to flatter over the season especially <strong>Aubameyang</strong> and I think I&#8217;d prefer a punt on <strong>Pepe</strong> as he&#8217;s carrying some form after netting in his last two starts.</p>
