<p>International breaks are always a nervy time for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) and wider fantasy managers &#8211; but have Premier League players avoided injury this time?</p>
<p>Here are main highlights from an injury news perspective so far. We will update this article on Wednesday if any further significant news breaks.</p>

<h2>Ezri Konsa</h2>
<p>Konsa is a common pick among engaged FPL managers, with his £4.5m price point offering a cheap route into a Champions League team&#8217;s defence.</p>
<p>The 13.2% owned centre-back was substituted shortly after hobbling following a tackle in Tuesday&#8217;s England v Finland match.</p>
<p>But interim England manager Lee Carsley played down fears of a major problem for the Villa man. He said:</p>
<blockquote><p>“Yes, I think he is [OK], yeah. I&#8217;ve not had the chance yet to see him because I have been in the press but he looked OK when I saw him.”</p></blockquote>

<h2>Nathan Ake</h2>
<p>Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman confirmed Manchester City defender Ake looked to have sustained a muscle injury in Tuesday&#8217;s clash with Germany.</p>
<p>Ake had to be stretchered off the pitch &#8211; and with European games coming up, Pep Guardiola may have one less option to rotate at the back.</p>

<h2>Martin Odegaard</h2>
<p>Odegaard sprained his ankle in the second half of Norway&#8217;s match against Austria on Monday.</p>
<p>He was helped off the pitch by medical staff and looked in pain, raising fears over his participation against Spurs on Sunday.</p>
<p>Speaking to Norwegian TV2, national team doctor Ola Sand said:</p>
<blockquote><p>“Yes, it’s a sprain, and as those of us who had played football know, with luck it can turn out OK if the ligaments aren’t torn.</p>
<p>&#8220;We will see, maybe we use ultrasound to look at it. If we are unsure, there will be an MRI tomorrow.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Norwegian website <a href="https://www.vg.no/sport/i/zAMmMv/legen-om-martin-oedegaard-sin-skade-landskampene-henger-i-en-tynn-traad">VG</a> has since quoted Sand as saying Odegaard could be out for &#8216;at least three weeks&#8217; &#8211; and possibly longer.</p>
<p>The midfielder is in 10% of FPL teams &#8211; but it is the impact on Arsenal&#8217;s prospects as a whole that will be the main concern for many.</p>
<p>Already missing <strong>Declan Rice </strong>through suspension and new signing <strong>Mikel Merino </strong>following a training-ground injury, options in the middle of the pitch are looking thin for the Gunners.</p>
<p>Odegaard is not the only international break issue Mikel Arteta has on his hands, either.</p>

<h2>Riccardo Calafiori</h2>
<p>Arsenal defender Calafiori has yet to start in the Premier League, limiting his fantasy appeal.</p>
<p>Interest is unlikely to build any time soon if an injury picked up in Italy&#8217;s game against France on Friday puts him on the sidelines.</p>
<p>Calafiori had to be replaced after taking a hit to the ankle but the prognosis from Italy coach Luciano Spaletti was initially promising:</p>
<blockquote><p>“We need to assess Riccardo but with our staff, we’ve a good chance to have him back with us for the next game.”</p></blockquote>
<p>But Calafiori was released from the squad afterwards and played no part in Italy&#8217;s second game, returning to London.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ll have to wait for Mikel Arteta&#8217;s press conference later this week for further updates, however injury analyst Ben Dinnery tweeted that the defender &#8216;<a href="https://x.com/BenDinnery/status/1833095481615880272">should be OK</a>&#8216; for the weekend.</p>

<h2>Bruno Fernandes</h2>
<p>Fernandes has been in hot form in the international break, which is sure to prompt mixed feelings among his fantasy owners given his disappointing lack of attacking returns in the league.</p>
<p>The midfielder recorded a goal and assist over two games, completing 180 minutes.</p>
<p>He was seen hobbling during the Scotland game after a knock to his ankle but eased any fears of a problem, describing it as a &#8216;little bump&#8217; to reporters afterwards.</p>
<p>The Manchester United playmaker should therefore be fine to face Southampton at the weekend, unless Erik ten Hag indicates otherwise.</p>

<h2>Cole Palmer, Ollie Watkins and Phil Foden</h2>
<p>This trio withdrew from the England squad before a ball had been kicked.</p>
<p>Foden did not report for international duty due to illness, which also kept him out of Gameweek 3 against West Ham.</p>
<p>Palmer and Watkins returned to their clubs to &#8216;continue rehabilitation for ongoing issues&#8217;, a Football Association statement confirmed.</p>
<p>Both cases are likely to be precautionary, with Palmer reportedly suffering from muscle fatigue.</p>
<p>Watkins has had his minutes managed by Unai Emery since missing pre-season following his late arrival back from England duty in the summer.</p>
<p>It would be a surprise to see either of the duo miss Gameweek 4 but those looking to bring them in should wait for further updates later this week, just in case.</p>

<h2>Niclas Fullkrug</h2>
<p>German striker Fullkrug has been eased in by West Ham so far &#8211; but hopes of a first start post-international break look to have been ended for now.</p>
<p>Reports of Fullkrug having problems with his Achilles and calf during training have surfaced, which if confirmed could present Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui with a headache.</p>
<p>With Michail Antonio on international duty with Jamaica, Lopetegui could play <strong>Jarrod Bowen </strong>up front in Gameweek 4 should neither of his strikers be ready to play.</p>

<p>Mac Allister is in just 2.1% of FPL teams, with teammates like <strong>Luis Diaz </strong>and <strong>Mohamed Salah </strong>proving far more popular.</p>
<p>The Argentinian midfielder suffered a knock against Chile and their national coach said he had been in &#8216;discomfort&#8217;.</p>
<p>He was however spotted in training ahead of the Colombia fixture &#8211; and in further good news, he played a full 90 minutes, contributing an assist.</p>

<p>The Republic of Ireland right-back limped off against England on Saturday after a tackle by <strong>Harry Maguire </strong>on his Achilles.</p>
<p>He was ruled out of the Greece match and replaced in the squad, with the experienced defender heading back to Everton for assessment.</p>
<p>Fortunately, his ownership in FPL is at rock bottom &#8211; and the Toffees&#8217; poor start means fantasy watchlists would have likely been lacking the 35-year-old&#8217;s name in any case.</p>

<p>The £4.0m Wolves defender was stretchered off near the end of Colombia&#8217;s match against Argentina &#8211; a game in which he had earlier scored.</p>
<p>Stretchers are never a good sign &#8211; except perhaps in this case, where an eagle-eyed Twitter user spotted him <a href="https://x.com/MrR1g4t/status/1833638681669677282">celebrating</a> his nation&#8217;s 2-1 victory after the game.</p>
<p>Wolves&#8217; fixtures don&#8217;t improve until around Gameweek 10, so those looking at him as a budget option for their bench have a few weeks before they might need him, anyway.</p>

<p>Boly picked up a calf complaint while training with the Ivory Coast, according to national team manager Emerse Fae.</p>
<p>The seriousness has yet to be confirmed, so Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo&#8217;s pre-match press conference will be needed to determine the severity.</p>
