<p>The reigning Premier League Champions have massively upgraded their attack and they face a promoted side. This is the type of match-up we should try to target.</p>
<p>Arsenal have also made some great signings and although they’re not at the level of Liverpool’s, it means there’s not as much drop-off when some of their starting 11 are out.</p>
<p>They finally have a number nine and Nottingham Forest under Ange Postecoglou could end up shipping goals for fun.</p>
<p>United are not an easy fixture for City and Ruben Amorim can do alright in the bigger games. That considered though, City’s recent record against United suggests this fixture could have a lot of goals.</p>
<p>Newcastle meanwhile have sneaked ahead of City, with more than two goals expected against Wolves.</p>

<p>Although Liverpool have looked a little shaky at the back, Burnley don’t have much quality to trouble them.</p>
<p>Arsenal’s defence are relentless - not many teams can lay a glove on them.</p>
<p>Sunderland have invested well but they’re not quite Premier League quality and Palace should be able to handle them.</p>

<p>Here's my top five players to target with their opponents' weaknesses in mind:</p>
<h3>🥇 Mohamed Salah (v Burnley)</h3>
<p><strong>Target: Weakest left side in the league</strong></p>
<p>It’s early doors but Liverpool’s attacking stats are a bit of a conundrum. They’ve scored the most goals but they’re massively over-performing their expected goals (xG), which is the seventh worst in the league.</p>
<p>Burnley have only conceded four goals but have the worst expected goals conceded (xGC) in the league, which suggests the Reds could get a chance to correct their stats.</p>
<p>Salah’s has picked up two returns but he’s far from firing on all cylinders. His metrics are all fairly subdued and he’s been overshadowed by <strong>Cody Gakpo</strong> and <strong>Hugo Ekitike</strong>.</p>
<p>With <strong>Alexander Isak </strong>soon to join the fray, is this the end of Salah’s talisman status?</p>

<p>It’s only been three games but some of Burnley’s weaknesses are already apparent.</p>
<p>They’re second worst for big chances conceded, they’ve conceded the most shots in the league by far from their left and they’re poor at defending aerial attempts.</p>
<p>Ekitike is the big chance man so far but Salah is the main threat against their zonal weakness.</p>
<p>The set-piece vulnerability suggests it might be worth keeping faith in <strong>Florian Wirtz</strong> given his monopoly on corners and for those looking for a Free Hit differential.</p>
<p><strong>Virgil van Dijk</strong> is the main aerial threat and he’s hit <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-defcon-points-watch">defensive contributions</a> in two out of three games.</p>
<p>Previous matches were under different managers - so take this with a pinch of salt - but Salah has a terrible record against Burnley.</p>
<p>He’s only scored one goal in eight starts and that was the first match he played against them. He blanked in the last five.</p>
