FPL Gameweek 4 brought fresh injury concerns for fantasy managers and with European matches and Carabao Cup action coming up, physio rooms could be extra busy in the coming days and weeks.
Here, we round-up some the main injury updates following the weekend&#8217;s matches. We will update the article with any major issues from midweek.

<h2>Yoane Wissa</h2>
Wissa gave Brentford a dream start against Manchester City on Saturday, scoring after 23 seconds.
But the striker had to come off after 45 minutes after he was hurt by a challenge from Mateo Kovacic.
The club provided an update from Thomas Frank on Monday, which stated:
<blockquote>&#8220;Wissa is not good news. It looks like an injury that will be a couple of months.
&#8220;It’s very frustrating. It will leave a hole but I will find a solution and other players will step up.&#8221;</blockquote>
The Bees, who lost new striker Igor Thiago to a knee injury in pre-season, will now be relying even more on Bryan Mbeumo.
Many FPL managers had their eyes on both Wissa and Mbeumo, with Brentford&#8217;s fixtures looking strong from Gameweek 6.
Whether Mbeumo becomes a weaker option without the influential Wissa as part of the attack however remains to be seen.

<h3>Wissa replacements in FPL</h3>
Part of Wissa&#8217;s appeal is his price &#8211; £6.1m.
Already in 8% of teams, the three-goal forward&#8217;s ownership was likely to rise steeply before his injury.
Those who Wildcard around Gameweek 6 will now have to shop elsewhere for budget picks.
Chris Wood (£6.1m) tops Hub AI&#8217;s predicted points for forwards priced at £6.5m and below up to Gameweek 9 (29.1).
Joao Pedro (£5.7m), Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.9m) and Matheus Cunha (£6.5m) are among the alternatives.
And new Crystal Palace signing Eddie Nketiah (£5.9m) is another option in the top five. The former Arsenal man made his debut in Gameweek 4, playing behind Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.4m).
He managed six shots on goal &#8211; all in the box &#8211; the joint-most of the week.
<h2>Joao Pedro</h2>
Pedro was the most transferred-in player ahead of Gameweek 4 missed Brighton&#8217;s game against Ipswich on Sunday with a knock.
He had initially not been called up to the Brazil squad &#8211; but was a late addition.
He was thought to be fine for the weekend but was a surprise absence from the squad when lineups were announced.
Speaking after the 0-0 draw, Seagulls manager Fabian Hurzeler said:
<blockquote>“He had a small issue and I didn’t think we should take a risk. Of course, you might play him against Ipswich, but then we would risk and injury for two, three, four weeks.
“We cannot take this risk with anybody and I am happy with how all of the other players performed.
“Georginio [Rutter] made a good first impression. He could have scored and he made good actions. He worked well against the ball. So, in the end we can say Joao Pedro was missing but without him we had enough chances.
“I can’t say a clear date when he will be back, but my medical department will do a great job, so I think he will be back soon.”</blockquote>
Brighton played Wolves in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, a game Pedro missed. When asked if he would be in contention for the weekend, Hurzeler said:
<blockquote>&#8220;He made a training session today. We didn&#8217;t want to take any risk for today &#8211; let&#8217;s see how the next days will be.&#8221;</blockquote>

<h2>Alexander Isak</h2>
Newcastle striker Isak was taken off at half-time against Wolves on Sunday, a game the Magpies went on to win 2-1. Eddie Howe said:
<blockquote>&#8220;It was his eye, but I’m not 100 per cent sure what the issue was. I just knew he had to come off.
&#8220;We’ll find out more afterwards. I don’t know whether it’s serious or not, but we absolutely hope not. He’s such an important player for us.&#8221;</blockquote>
The Swede was the most popular transfer out ahead of Gameweek 4, with around 850,000 sales. Many would have downgraded him to afford Mohamed Salah (£12.7m).

<h2>Bukayo Saka</h2>
Saka hobbled off towards the end of Sunday&#8217;s North London derby, having received treatment.
The sight of the Englishman being in discomfort was a relatively common sight last season and he mostly returned to action.
Keep an eye on Arsenal&#8217;s midweek Champions League lineup for clues &#8211; but Saka was reportedly training ahead of the match, which bodes well.
Speaking after the Spurs game, boss Mikel Arteta said:
<blockquote>&#8220;I don&#8217;t know exactly what it is, but he could not continue.&#8221;</blockquote>
The Gunners&#8217; squad was missing Martin Odegaard (£8.3m) after he suffered an ankle injury while playing for Norway.
Arteta said they would have to &#8216;wait and see&#8217; for further news on how long the midfielder would be out for &#8211; but three weeks was the anecdotal timeframe given by the Norwegian team doctor previously.

<h2>Ollie Watkins</h2>
Watkins was described as &#8216;OK&#8217; by Unai Emery after Aston Villa&#8217;s Champions League win against Young Boys.
The England international was replaced by Jhon Duran after an hour and was seen sitting on the bench with ice strapped to his ankle.
But Emery&#8217;s positive update indicates there was nothing serious to report.
And in a further boost for Villa, Leon Bailey was on the bench &#8211; albeit as an unused substitute &#8211; after missing Gameweek 4 with a hamstring injury.

<h2>Kevin De Bruyne</h2>
De Bruyne is a doubt for City&#8217;s Gameweek 5 fixture with Arsenal after going off at half-time against Inter on Wednesday.
The midfielder looked to have a groin problem towards the end of the first half. Pep Guardiola said of his condition:
<blockquote>&#8220;I don&#8217;t know, I haven&#8217;t spoken with the doctors yet. I will have more information when I do. We will assess him tomorrow.&#8221;</blockquote>
Phil Foden (£9.3m) could be the major beneficiary should the Belgian be ruled out for a while.
Foden, who replaced him against Inter, has been limited to just 45 minutes of Premier League football so far this season.
