<h2>Chris Tan's Gameweek 9 fixture analysis</h2>
<p>Last week we got quite a few calls right. We noted this wasn’t the best match up for <strong>Son Heung-min (£9.5m) </strong>unless Tottenham Hotspur got an early goal.</p>
<p>We also anticipated that it was worth exercising patience with <strong>Raheem Sterling (£7.0m)</strong>, as Burnley would provide opportunities.</p>
<p>We expected the Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace game to be a stalemate and that <strong>Mohamed Salah (£12.6m)</strong> would have a field day.</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Gameweek 9: Clean sheet and goalscoring odds</strong></h2>
<p>Manchester City,  Liverpool and Manchester United are the likeliest to score two or more goals, according to the odds.</p>
<p>Newcastle and Forest lead the way for chances of a clean sheet - followed by United and Liverpool.</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Gameweek 9 fixtures analysed</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Liverpool v Everton</strong></h3>
<p>Liverpool will be fairly content with their start. They were unlucky against Spurs and there’s no shame in drawing with Brighton.</p>
<p>Everton’s kind fixture run is over and they should have done better but at least they have points on the board. Their home form has been atrocious as the crowd has been quick to turn on them but it might be different for this game.</p>
<p>The Toffees haven’t beaten Liverpool in the league in the last four attempts and other than a win in 2021, you have to go all the way back to 2010 for another one. There have been a lot of draws though.</p>
<p>Last season it ended 2-0 at Anfield, with goals from <strong>Cody Gakpo (£7.2m) </strong>and Salah.</p>
<p>This is the first game after the international break and we all know how Jurgen Klopp feels about the early kick-off time.</p>
<p>Liverpool will be at a disadvantage due to their South American contingent.</p>
<p><strong>Additional factors to consider</strong></p>
<p>Liverpool’s xG and output is second only to Newcastle, however Everton’s xG is also impressive - although partially inflated by their fixtures - considering their limitations. They know how to put the ball in the danger zone though</p>
<p>From a defensive perspective, again, Everton’s stats are impressive and they’re superior to Liverpool’s.</p>
<p>But in their last six matches, only Arsenal can be deemed a strong opponent, whereas five of the six Liverpool have faced are good teams.</p>
<p>Everton’s weakness is their right. They’ve allowed nearly twice as many shots from there compared to their left. That bodes well for <strong>Luis Diaz (£7.5m)</strong>.</p>
<p>Everton press high as well and you’d be surprised to know that their average defensive line is the same as Liverpool’s, which is not something they’re known for.</p>
<p>This could potentially be exploited by Liverpool's front three, especially when you consider the quality of the capabilities of the creative players behind them that will be able to put them through.</p>
<p><strong>Predicted outcome</strong></p>
<p>I can see Everton scoring here but I expect Liverpool to win at Anfield.</p>
