International breaks are always a nervous time for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers as they cross their fingers in hope their players don&#8217;t suffer injury issues while representing their countries.
There are always scares to contend with though and this break is no different, with a number of well-owned players facing potential issues heading into Gameweek 13.

<h3>Erling Haaland (£14.0m) &#8211; Manchester City &#8211; 83.1%</h3>
Haaland suffered ankle pain in Norway&#8217;s first match of the international break on Thursday (November 16).
It was concerning news, particularly as he had picked up an ankle knock in Manchester City&#8217;s 6-1 win against Bournemouth in FPL Gameweek 12.
The latest injury was described by Norway team doctor Ola Sand as &#8216;not serious&#8217;, however Haaland was in &#8216;so much pain and somewhat restricted function&#8217; that the Scotland game on Sunday came &#8216;a little too early&#8217;.
But national team manager Stale Solbakken&#8217;s comments suggest Haaland may be OK for City&#8217;s next game, hinting he may have played if Sunday&#8217;s match was a crucial qualifier:
<blockquote>&#8220;It’s the movement in his foot that is the problem but it’s not a serious injury. Had it been a final, I don’t know [if he would have been fit to play].
&#8220;All parties agree it is probably a little too early [for him to play] but it is not a career-threatening injury.”</blockquote>

<h3>Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) &#8211; West Ham &#8211; 30.1%</h3>
Bowen was ruled out of England&#8217;s final Euro 2024 qualifier on Monday with an injury picked up in training.
The knee problem was initially believed to be minor, although fantasy managers will have to wait until David Moyes&#8217; pre-match press conference for confirmation on whether Bowen will be fit for Gameweek 13.
England manager Gareth Southgate said:
<blockquote>&#8220;We didn&#8217;t really have enough time to assess it fully and make an accurate decision, so we felt better to leave him in England. We wouldn&#8217;t take a risk.&#8221;</blockquote>
West Ham striker Michail Antonio (£5.8m) is also a headache for Moyes, after the striker developed a hamstring problem on duty with Jamaica.
Those who own Mohammed Kudus (£6.5m) as a differential could be the beneficiaries here, with the Ghanaian&#8217;s minutes likely to be even more secure if Antonio is ruled out for a long period.
And if Bowen is fit, he could be relied on as a centre-forward in Antonio&#8217;s absence, ahead of Danny Ings (£5.6m).
Kudus is another one to keep an eye out for news on. It emerged on Monday that he reportedly <a href="https://twitter.com/_owurakuampofo/status/1726713789662572870">did not train</a> ahead of Ghana&#8217;s showdown with Comoros on Tuesday. It was said he was facing a late fitness test, although Kudus&#8217; <a href="https://twitter.com/KudusGanG/status/1726896742921322965">tweet</a> appeared positive.

<h3>Kaoru Mitoma (£6.6m) &#8211; Brighton &#8211; 36.6%</h3>
The Japanese international is a doubt for Brighton&#8217;s trip to Nottingham Forest, according to long-time Seagulls journalist Andy Naylor.
The Athletic reporter <a href="https://twitter.com/AndyNaylorBHAFC/status/1726515678579179560">tweeted</a> that Mitoma was &#8216;likely&#8217; to miss the Gameweek 13 match, which will come as a blow to Roberto De Zerbi.
In a statement confirming his withdrawal from the Samurai Blues&#8217; squad, Mitoma said:
<blockquote>&#8220;Since this is a World Cup qualifier I joined the team believing in my potential to contribute.
&#8220;But unfortunately, seeing as I won&#8217;t be able to play at 100 per cent, I&#8217;ve decided to let my teammates play on my behalf, as much as I regret doing so.
&#8220;For now, I will work hard on recovering as soon as possible.&#8221;</blockquote>

<h3>Evan Ferguson (£6.1m) &#8211; Brighton &#8211; 8.5%</h3>
Brighton&#8217;s international break injury woes have deepened after striker Ferguson picked up a potential hamstring issue.
Ferguson went off after 55 minutes in the Republic of Ireland&#8217;s game against the Netherlands on Saturday. He was reportedly spotted <a href="https://www.irishmirror.ie/sport/soccer/soccer-news/evan-ferguson-injury-update-brighton-31473908">applying ice</a> to his hamstring area.
The latest potential problem comes after Ferguson had recovered from a back injury to be involved in national duties.

<h3>Andre Onana (£4.8m) &#8211; Manchester United &#8211; 14.7%</h3>
Manchester United&#8217;s number one came off in the latter stages of Cameroon&#8217;s game against Mauritius on Friday with a back injury.
It was reported that the injury was <a href="https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/man-utd-andre-onana-injury-31472707">not as bad as first feared</a>, however he has withdrawn from the squad.
Onana being ruled out of FPL Gameweek 13 would see Turkish goalkeeper Altay Bayindir (£4.0m) make his United debut.

<h2>Other injury news</h2>
A number of players did not join up with their national teams, with existing injury concerns.
City players Ederson (£5.5m), Nathan Ake (£5.0m), Mateo Kovacic (£4.8m) and Matheus Nunes (£4.9m) were all carrying issues ahead of the break.
Goalkeeper Ederson picked up a foot injury in the final minutes of the Chelsea game, according to Brazil&#8217;s team doctor.
And Rodri (£5.6m) missed Spain&#8217;s first game with a knock but played 81 minutes against Georgia on Sunday.
Everton&#8217;s Amadou Onana (£4.8m) missed Everton&#8217;s game against Brighton in Gameweek 11, playing 45 minutes in Gameweek 12. He left Belgium&#8217;s squad on Friday with a calf issue.
Manchester United&#8217;s Rasmus Hojlund (£7.1m) and Christian Eriksen (£5.9m) both went off injured in the Red Devils&#8217; win over Luton, meaning they could not join up with Denmark.

Marcus Rashford (£8.6m) accidentally clashed with Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.9m) in England&#8217;s first game.
The midfielder came off after the incident but Southgate said after the game he was &#8216;probably OK&#8217; &#8211; and he came on in the 84th minute against North Macedonia on Monday.
Elsewhere, Newcastle had a number of injuries to contend with before the break.
Fabian Schar (£5.2m) missed Switzerland&#8217;s game against Israel following a hamstring scare in the Magpies&#8217; game against Bournemouth. Swiss media reported he was in &#8216;full training&#8217; ahead of their crunch Euro 2024 qualifier with Romania on Tuesday.
A hamstring injury also kept Miguel Almiron (£6.3m) off international duty &#8211; but it is hoped he could be available for FPL Gameweek 13 alongside Alexander Isak (£7.4m), who has been on the sidelines.
<h3>Personal issues</h3>
United full-back Diogo Dalot (£5.0m) was an absentee from Portugal&#8217;s squad but injury was not a factor, having become a father for the first time.
Kieran Trippier (£7.0m) played in England&#8217;s first game against Malta but cited personal issues for leaving ahead of their Monday match.
