<p>Our FPL Player Comparison for Gameweek 29 article uses the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-player-comparision-tool/">Hub’s Comparison Tool</a> to compare two key transfer targets. This week, <a href="https://twitter.com/CoysFPL">Dan</a> compares Dejan Kulusevski (£6.1m) and Bukayo Saka (£6.5m).</p>

<h2>Dejan Kulusevski (£6.1m) vs Bukayo Saka (£6.5m) | Gameweek 29 Comparison</h2>
<p>Going into Double Gameweek 29, mid-priced midfielders Dejan Kulusevski and Bukayo Saka look like the two hottest properties in their price range. Both play twice in Double Gameweek 29, and have a fixture in Blank Gameweek 30. The two North London teams sit top of the fixture ticker for the next six, and Kulusevski and Saka are both in-form right now.</p>
<p>Kulusevski has had an impact from the off, scoring twice and assisting three in just five Premier League starts. He could fare well in the double, with trips to Manchester United and Brighton.</p>
<p>Manchester United might be his kind of game, as I expect Spurs&#8217; front three to get plenty of joy on the counter attack, against a United defence that lacks pace and just shipped four to Manchester City.</p>
<p>Brighton are also susceptible to counter attacks, conceding the joint-fourth most goals from counter attacks this season due to their patient possession style of play. Kulusevski ranks fifth in the form table (last six) among midfielders under £7m, despite only starting in the last four gameweeks.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Saka has improved his attacking output this season, scoring eight and assisting eight in fewer than 2000 minutes. That works out as goal involvement every 136 minutes.</p>
<p><a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">Arsenal&#8217;s fixtures</a> get tougher in the coming weeks, having faced strugglers Watford, Brentford and Burnley in recent weeks. Alongside Spurs, they are one of only two teams to have three fixtures in the next two gameweeks. They also have two fixtures left to reschedule, with doubles expected in Gameweek 33 and Gameweek 36. Arsenal&#8217;s double this week is arguably a little trickier than Spurs&#8217; however, with Leicester and Liverpool at home.</p>

<p>In terms of goals so far, both players&#8217; output is about the same. Saka has four times more goals than Kulusevski, in roughly four times the number of appearances. Saka has also had about four times as many shots in the box, as well as an xG of almost six times that of Kulusevski&#8217;s. Kulusevski has only had a single big chance so far, whereas Saka has had six.</p>
<p>On the other hand, Kulusevski has already created almost as many big chances (4) as Saka (6), despite playing only six games compared with Saka&#8217;s 25. He also has recorded about 40% of Saka&#8217;s expected assists in around a fifth of Saka&#8217;s game time.</p>

<p>Kulusevski and Saka are similarly priced at £6.1 and £6.5 million, so it is purely a case of choosing whoever is the better asset in my opinion.</p>

<p>Kulusevski and Saka&#8217;s heatmaps look very similar, although Kulusevski sits slightly narrower, and Saka takes right sided corners.</p>

<p>Saka boasts a record of 0.35 goals per 90 minutes, beating Kulusevski&#8217;s record of 0.27 during the Swede&#8217;s short spell in England. Saka has an xG almost twice that of Kulusevski, although Kulusevski has actually averaged more shots in the box and shots. That being said, Saka is clearly getting the better chances on the whole.</p>
<p>Kulusevski has actually outscored his xG by 0.05 across his whole career so far, so I expect him to continue to be clinical with his chances on that front.</p>

<p>Represented by the top row, Kulusevski is so far the more creative asset according to our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/">OPTA stats tool</a>.</p>
<p>They have made virtually the same amount of key passes per start, although Kulusevski has created more than double the big chances that Saka has per 90 minutes in his short spell so far. Because of that, he also has an xA per 90 minutes of nearly double Saka&#8217;s total of 0.28. Kulusevski also has more actual assists to show for that, averaging 0.54 assists per 90 minutes so far.</p>
<p>I would argue that Kulusevski is creating chances for better finishers on the whole, with Kane and Son more likely than not to put away their big chances.</p>

<p>While Spurs&#8217; opponents look slightly more vulnerable on the whole, both of their matches are away from home. Arsenal&#8217;s games are both at The Emirates, including a plum fixture against a leaky Leicester side. Moving forward, Spurs face London rivals West Ham in Blank Gameweek 30, while Arsenal travel to Aston Villa, so over the next two gameweeks there isn&#8217;t much to split them.</p>
<p>According to the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">Hub&#8217;s fixture ticker</a>, Spurs have marginally better fixtures over the next six gameweeks. They face the likes of Newcastle and Brentford, whilst Arsenal boast trips to Crystal Palace and Southampton.</p>

<h2><strong>Points Predictions</strong></h2>

<p>The Hub&#8217;s <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Points Prediction Tool</a> projects Saka to outscore Kulusevski by 1.2 PPG across the next three. However, Kulusevski is projected to play only 71 minutes in each fixture in the tool because of his first two Premier League appearances (14 and 62 minutes each), but in reality he should play more than that, due to nailing down his spot and playing 90 minutes in three of the last four.</p>
<p>If Kulusevski was to play 84 minutes per game like Saka, Saka would only outscore him by 0.2 points per game, and in reality I can&#8217;t see much separating the minutes each one gets in the next few weeks. Therefore, although the prediction tool suggests Saka will massively outscore him over the coming gameweeks, the difference should be smaller than projected.</p>

<h2><strong>Conclusion | </strong><strong>Player Comparison Gameweek 29</strong></h2>
<p>Ultimately, if I was transferring one in this gameweek, it would be <strong>Saka</strong>. He is more of key player for his team so is less likely to get rested in the Double Gameweek &#8211; although I don&#8217;t think <strong>Kulusevski</strong> will be rested either. As well as that, he has proven to be a reliable asset across the whole season, whereas Kulusevski has only returned in three games so far.</p>
<p>That being said, I expect Saka&#8217;s ownership in the top 10k to ascend in the next few gameweeks, so going for Kulusevski as a differential could definitely pay off as I don&#8217;t see much between the pair.</p>
