The first player prices for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) 2026/27 have been revealed, edging us closer to the launch of this season&#8217;s game.
FPL usually tease numerous key players&#8217; prices before officially launching the game.
In recent seasons, they have unveiled prices for anything between one and six days before opening up the game.
In this article, we summarise everything that has been revealed so far and provide some brief analysis. It will be regularly updated as FPL releases more information.

<h2>Erling Haaland&#8217;s record FPL price revealed</h2>
FPL offered users the chance to vote for one of 10 selected players, with the top three choices to be revealed.
And on Wednesday afternoon (July 22), Erling Haaland was the first to be confirmed, coming in at a mega £15.5m.
This is a record high in FPL, passing the Norwegian&#8217;s 2024/25 price tag of £15.0m, and it&#8217;s a £1.5m increase on last season&#8217;s £14.0m.
With Mohamed Salah no longer a Premier League player, FPL had to do something to make picking a balanced squad more challenging.
A 27 goal, eight assist campaign saw Haaland score 239 FPL points, the most in the game. It was only four more than the much cheaper Fernandes however, who ended the season £4.3m cheaper.
And this is the first hint of that, with FPL managers needing to decide whether he&#8217;s worth such a hefty outlay.
Finding out the price of other premiums &#8211; including defender Gabriel and midfielder Bruno Fernandes &#8211; will be crucial parts of the puzzle.

<h2>Assist king Bruno Fernandes gets price increase</h2>
Manchester United&#8217;s Fernandes was next to be revealed and will cost £12.0m.
The record-breaking assister, who set up 24 goals and scored nine himself, will set FPL managers back £3.0m than last season&#8217;s starting price.
FPL said this was the joint highest price rise on last season&#8217;s numbers &#8211; but we don&#8217;t yet know who else will see such a significant bump.
Owning both Haaland and Fernandes will leave just £72.5m left to fund 13 players &#8211; going with both will therefore require some compromises elsewhere.
United start the season against two promoted clubs and top the Hub&#8217;s <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">fixture ticker</a> up to Gameweek 6. Fernandes will be hugely popular despite his increase.

<h2>Gabriel another premium pick to rise in price</h2>
Arsenal&#8217;s Gabriel was the third and final player to be showcased in relation to the public vote.
The centre-back will be £8.0m &#8211; £2.0m more than last season and likely the most expensive defender in the game.
It&#8217;s not a record for a defender though, with John Terry and John Arne Riise costing £8.5m in 2003/04 and 2004/05 respectively.
Gabriel scored 209 points last time, the most among defenders and 30 more than Marc Guehi in second. He earned a decent 22 defensive contribution points to go alongside Arsenal&#8217;s league-leading 19 clean sheets.
Player pricing so far looks fair but challenging, which will be welcomed by experienced FPL managers.
It could be very difficult to own Haaland, Fernandes and Gabriel, three players who were locked into many FPL teams in 2025/26.
Those who buy all three will have an average of £5.4m to spend on each of their remaining 12 squad members.
