The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) 2022/23 game is one step closer to launching, with the first FPL prices revealed on Friday (July 1).

After confirming on Twitter last week that the game would launch in July, the first day of the month brought a first look at how much a select group of 11 players from five teams would cost.

Players from a further five teams had prices revealed on Saturday, with reveals continuing on Sunday and Monday.

We rounded up the price reveals as they happened on Twitter – but see below for our live coverage.

Monday: Nottingham Forest FPL player prices revealed

Nottingham Forest complete the list of teams announcing FPL player prices for 2022/23.

Surprisingly, three of the players announced were forwards. Top scorer Brennan Johnson came in at a reasonable £6m, as did new summer signing Taiwo Awoniyi, who should provide Forest with a physical presence up front. Sam Surridge is the other forward, priced at £5m.

Midfielders Ryan Yates, Alex Mighten, and Joe Lolley all came in at £5m, and all offer some degree of attacking threat.

Meanwhile, defensive midfielders Jack Colback and Cafu were priced slightly lower at £4.5m, providing useful budget enablers for fantasy managers’ benches.

In defence, Joe Worrall, Steve Cook, and Scott McKenna were all valued at £4.5m, but there was no goalkeeper price announced by Fantasy Premier League for Nottingham Forest.

Monday: Everton FPL player prices revealed

Everton were the penultimate team to have their 22/23 player prices revealed.

The Toffees have a reasonable start to the season – after a tough opener against Chelsea, they face Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Leeds.

Jordan Pickford was Everton’s second-highest scoring FPL asset last season (after the departing Richarlison) and he came in at a very reasonable £4.5m – the England stopper’s ownership could be high for Gameweek 1.

Defenders James Tarkowski, Vitaliy Mykolenko and Seamus Coleman also came in at £4.5m, providing some respectable budget enablers at the back.

£5.5m was the price across the board for Everton’s midfield assets: Demarai Gray, Anthony Gordon, Dele Alli, Alex Iwobi, and Abdoulaye Doucoure were all valued the same.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin completed the Everton announcements, with the England man providing a proven forward option at £8m.

Monday: Crystal Palace FPL player prices revealed

Key Crystal Palace players have had their 22/23 FPL prices confirmed by Official FPL.

According to our fixture ticker, Palace actually have the worst opening fixtures in the Premier League. Nonetheless, their assets have historically made for great budget picks, with the likes of Luka Milivojevic, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Wilfred Zaha all in the Fantasy Premier League hall of fame.

The latter will be the first name on the Palace watch-list for many FPL managers. Often criminally overlooked, Crystal Palace’s talisman scored 14 goals last season, and the fact he’s on penalty duties now means Zaha’s £7m price-tag could be a steal. He retains his midfielder status.

If you don’t want to spend £7m on a Palace midfielder, promising youngsters Michael Olise and Eberichi Eze both came in at £5.5m.

Palace’s front line was a little City-esque in terms of its predictability last season, but if one of Odsonne Edouard or Jean-Philippe Mateta can hold down a starting berth, they could provide value at £5.5m.

Palace’s defence will have to face Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City in their first four games, but there’s every chance they’ll fly under the radar as a result. Vicente Guaita will set you back just £4.5m between the sticks, with Tyrick Mitchell, Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen costing the same amount.

Finally, James Tomkins presented a tempting £4m option if he plays regularly, and Will Hughes could be a respectable bench-filler in midfield at £5m.

Monday: Leicester FPL prices confirmed

Some of Leicester’s FPL player prices have been revealed.

Always an intriguing mid-priced team, Leicester assets have proven potential to be great value for money. Their first six fixtures include the likes of Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal, but those are punctuated by winnable games against Brentford (their opener), Southampton and Brighton.

James Maddison, their highest points scorer by some distance last season, will start the 22/23 campaign priced at £8m.

The evergreen Jamie Vardy, always a popular differential amongst the more adventurous FPL managers, comes in at a cut-price of £9.5m. Will he play consistently? If he doesn’t, the £6m Patson Daka and £6.5m Kelechi Iheanacho provide interesting alternatives.

Harvey Barnes, who finished the 21/22 campaign strongly, will remain a relatively affordable way into the Leicester attack at £7.0m. For those really on a budget, popular bargain-bucket midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall comes in at £5m. Youri Tielemans, who might not be a Leicester player by Gameweek 1, will set you back £6.5m.

Defensively, only Kasper Schmeichel racked up more than 100 points for the Foxes last season. Their backline has been priced accordingly, with the Danish shot-stopper coming in at £5m, whilst Wesley Fofana, James Justin and Ricardo Pereira are all priced at £4.5m.

Monday: Spurs FPL prices first of the day

Tottenham Hotspur player prices kicked off Monday’s price reveals.

Spurs have one of the strongest sets of first-six fixtures, with a tough Gameweek 2 visit to Chelsea mixed with games against the likes of promoted Nottingham Forest and Fulham.

Son Heung-min and Harry Kane will therefore be premium players on the shortlists of many fantasy managers.

Kane will start the 2022/23 game with a price tag of £11.5m. Son remained a midfielder but came in at £12m.

Ivan Perisic (£5.5m) is classified as a defender . The new signing’s prospects were covered in detail by David Wardale here.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was priced at £5.5m – the same as Allison and £0.5m ahead of Mendy.

Full-back Matt Doherty (£5m) and Dejan Kulusevski (£8m) were among the other reveals.

New singing Richarlison has yet to be priced up.

Spurs FPL player prices unveiled on Monday

Sunday: Bournemouth FPL prices confirmed

Promoted club Bournemouth were the latest to have player prices revealed.

Dominic Solanke (£6m) was the Cherries’ top scorer in the Championship last season, with 29 goals. He also managed seven assists.

Midfielder Philip Billing (5.5m) managed 10 goals and 10 assists – but added 13 yellow cards along the way.

Attacking midfielders Ryan Christie – three goals and eight assists in 38 games – and Jaidon Anthony – eight goals and seven assists – were priced at £5.5m

Bournemouth face Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool in their first four games, so waiting to see how the south-coast side shape up in the first few games may be a viable strategy.

Full-back Ryan Fredericks signed on a free transfer after leaving West Ham. He has been listed as a £4.5m defender.

Sunday: Southampton FPL prices revealed

Southampton’s set-piece specialist James Ward-Prowse was Saints’ top points scorer by a significant margin last season.

The midfielder, who was one of just two Saints players to achieve more than 100 points, has been priced at £6.5m

Only Che Adams (6.5m) scored in the three figures range, with seven goals and four assists to his name for a return of 103 point. This was some 56 points shy of Ward-Prowse, who scored 10 and assisted five.

Southampton ranked 15th for clean sheets, with just eight to their tally.

New goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu was priced at £4.5m, the same as full-back Kyle Walker-Peters, who managed a goal and three assists in 32 games.

Sunday: Newcastle FPL prices the third release of the day

After eight games of the 2021/22 season, Newcastle were in turmoil.

Steve Bruce had been relieved of his duties by the Magpies’ new owners and the club was without a win.

But by the end of the season, new manager Eddie Howe had steered them to 11th, with 13 wins under their belt.

Newcastle have already been busy in the transfer market, signing Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope (£5m), and Sven Botman – price yet to be revealed – to shore up their defence. Matt Target (£5m) was also signed on a permanent deal.

Kieran Tripper, who showed signs of promise before picking up a foot injury, is also priced at £5m.

Fantasy managers may compare Pope to the identically priced Mendy and side with the Chelsea goalkeeper. But Tripper, who scored two goals in his first four games, may attract some suitors should he retain set-piece duties.

Elsewhere, Callum Wilson was listed at £7.5m, while Allan Saint-Maximin (£6.5m) has been reclassified as a midfielder.

Bruno Guimaraes’s five goals upon joining the Magpies has seen him priced at £6m.

Sunday: West Ham FPL prices revealed

The 2020/21 season was an excellent one for West Ham midfielder Jarrod Bowen.

The Englishman earned his first international call-up on the back of a season in which he scored 206 FPL points – including 12 goals and 17 assists.

Inevitably, this form demanded a price rise – and the Hammers star was listed at £8.5m.

The £8m midfield price bracket is a competitive one and included the likes of Saka, Diaz, Mahrez and Foden. Will Bowen coming in more expensive see fantasy managers look elsewhere?

West Ham rank near the bottom of our fixture ticker for the first six games – and the prospect of Manchester City first up may put managers off initially.

Sunday: Chelsea FPL prices up first

Chelsea player prices were the first to be revealed on Sunday – and all eyes were on the full-backs.

Priced the same were Ben Chilwell (£6m) and Reece James (£6m). Chilwell is expected to return this season after missing the majority of the season through injury.

Chilwell had made a promising start to last season, scoring three goals in seven games, while James had a season in which he scored 141 points – including five goals and nine assists.

Edouard Mendy came in at £5m, £0.5 cheaper than Liverpool’s Allison. In terms of defensive prospects, Chelsea have lost key centre-back Antonio Rudiger but the club is expected to strengthen in this position.

And on the subject of strengthening, the attacking midfield and forward lines could be subject to a refresh in the transfer window.

Striker Romelu Lukaku has joined Inter Milan on loan and FPL has now listed Kai Havertz as an £8m forward. This was the same price as Mason Mount (£8m) in midfield and Timo Werner (£8m) up top.

Chelsea have been linked to a number of players and signings will have an important bearing on how the starting XI shapes up come Gameweek 1.

Saturday: Fulham FPL prices round-off day’s reveals

Before the Premier League fixtures for 2022/23 were released, Aleksander Mitrovic (£6.5m) would have been atop the shortlist for lower-priced forwards.

But despite a record-breaking Championship goalscoring season, the Serbian striker’s early-season appeal has reduced. Fulham have one of the worst starts and face Liverpool in Gameweek 1.

The last time Fulham and Mitrovic graced the Premier League, the frontman scored just three goals.

Those who look to pick Mitrovic up a little later in the season will be hoping for a better return this time, although his 43 goal haul will not be replicated.

Harry Wilson (£6m) also had a strong Championship season, with 10 goals and 19 assists to his name. He has been priced at £0.5m higher than midfielder Bobby De Cordova-Reid (£5.5m), who scored eight goals and assisted seven.

Saturday: Aston Villa FPL prices announced

Phillippe Coutinho (£7m) headed the list of Aston Villa players to be revealed on Saturday. He scored 83 FPL points in 19 games in the Midlands, after joining on loan from Barcelona.

The Brazilian has now joined on a permanent deal and will be looking ahead to his first full season for Steven Gerrard’s side.

Coutinho was priced £0.5m cheaper than forward Ollie Watkins (£7.5m), who scored 11 goals last season, three fewer than his debut campaign.

Danny Ings (£7m) was priced a notch down from Watkins after a quiet first spell for Villa which yielded his lowest goals tally in three seasons.

Budget enabler Jacob Ramsey rose to £5.5m, priced alongside Scot John McGinn.

The duo came in £0.5m below fellow midfielder Emiliano Buendia (£6m).

Buendia had a patchy season for the Villains and was third-highest scoring midfielder in FPL points terms, peaking in Double Gameweek 36 when he registered a goal and assist for 15 points. Fantasy managers and Villa fans alike may be hoping for stronger returns this time around.

And in defence, full-backs Matty Cash and Lucas Digne look to be the pick of the backline at £5m. Four goals and three assists for Cash helped him to return 147 points in 2020/21, ranking him eighth for defenders.

The price tag was the same as centre-back Diego Carlos and defensive midfielder Boubacar Kamara, both new additions to the squad.

Saturday: Wolves FPL prices confirmed

Wolves face Leeds, Fulham, Spurs, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Southampton in their first six Premier League games of 2022/23 – one of the best fixture runs.

A serious knee injury kept midfielder Pedro Neto out of action until February in 2021/22. The Portuguese player returned five goals and six assists in the 2020/21 season though and could be worth a look at £5.5m.

Hee-Chan Hwang (£6m) has been reclassified as a midfielder. He managed five goals and an assist in his debut Premier League season.

Forward Raul Jimenez (£7m) was the most expensive player in the set of Wolves players released, after a season in which he scored a total of six goals in 34 games.

Full-backs Rayan Ait-Nouri and Jonny Castro Otto both came in at £4.5m – and if one of them nails down a regular spot in the team, they could offer value in a side which kept 11 clean sheets last season.

The latter did not feature until Gameweek 26 as a result of a knee injury however, while Ait-Nouri made a total of 23 league appearances.

Saturday: Manchester United FPL prices revealed

Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo came in at £10.5m after an 18 goal Premier League season.

His priced represented a £2m reduction on last season – perhaps a reflection of United’s campaign, where they finished in 6th place.

In a similar fashion, prices were revealed for Bruno Fernandes (£1om), Jadon Sancho (£7.5m) and Marcus Rashford (£6.5m).

Young prospect Anthony Elanga (£5m) comes in cheaper than Donny van de Beek (£5.5m), who will be hoping for a revival of fortunes under his old manager Erik ten Hag.

United assets may be widely overlooked given the Red Devils’ record last season but if their new manager can hit the ground running, there could be some value in their ranks.

Saturday: Liverpool FPL prices revealed

Liverpool were the first team in the spotlight on Saturday, with Mohamed Salah (£13m) the first to be revealed.

Right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold came in at £7.5m, slightly lower than many in the FPL community had predicted.

Meanwhile, Luis Diaz could be a popular option at £8m in light of the departure of Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich.

New signing Darwin Nunez was priced the same as Diogo Jota, both forwards coming in at £9m.

Andrew Robertson (£7m) offers a slightly cheaper full-back option in comparison to Alexander-Arnold, with centre-back Virgil Van-Dijk priced at £6.5m.

Friday: Manchester City FPL prices revealed

FPL prices were revealed for a number of Manchester City players – including new star signing Erling Haaland (£11.5m).

The Norwegian came in at £0.5m cheaper than Kevin de Bruyne (£12m).

Attacking full-back Joao Cancelo was listed at £7m, ahead of centre-back Ruben Dias (£6m).

Phil Foden (£8m) remained as a midfielder and came in at the same price as Riyad Mahrez (£8m), ahead of Jack Grealish (£7m) and Bernardo Silva (£7m). Ilkay Gundogan came in slightly more expensive at £7.5m.

Raheem Sterling, linked with a move away from the Etihad, was priced at £10m.

Friday: Arsenal FPL prices the first to be released

Before City’s prices were revealed, it was first the turn of Arsenal.

The Gunners ranked fifth for clean sheets last season with 13 shutouts, but fantasy managers will still have at least two £4.5m defenders – Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu – to choose from. Both could prove excellent value, presuming they are regular starters.

Talismanic midfielder Bukayo Saka came in at £8m, while new signing Fabio Viera was listed at £6m, slightly cheaper than Martin Odegaard (£6.5m) and the same price as Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli (£6m).

Friday: Brentford FPL prices next to be confirmed

Brentford frontman Ivan Toney (£7m) was the Bees’ priciest player after a season in which he scored 12 goals and assisted five.

Fellow forward Bryan Mbeumo (£6m) meanwhile was reclassified from a midfielder to a forward.

At the back, David Raya was priced at £4.5m, giving managers an option for a starting goalkeeper under £5m.

Brentford kept nine clean sheets over the course of the 2021/22 season, with Raya between the sticks for eight of them.

The Spaniard missed nearly half the Premier League season through injury.

The rest of Brentford’s defence to be revealed all came in at the same £4.5m price, except for Sergi Canos (£5m) who was last season listed as a midfielder.

Friday: Brighton FPL prices announced

Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City, headlined the Seagulls’ price reveals.

The Spanish star was priced at £5m, the same as City full-back Kyle Walker, and could be a popular pick if he ends up making a move.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Robert Sanchez (£4.5m) was priced the same as Raya.

Tariq Lamptey, full of attacking flair but hampered by injury last season, was priced at £4.5m too, alongside fellow Seagulls defender Lewis Dunk.

Centre-back Dunk only managed a single goal last season but racked up five and three in the previous two seasons respectively. If he can find the back of the net more often this season, £4.5m could be a favourable price.

In midfield and up front, the trio of Danny Welbeck, Leandro Trossard and Neil Maupay were all priced at £6.5m.

January signing Deniz Undav, who was loaned back to Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise, was priced as a £5.5m forward.

Undav scored 35 goals in 51 games before signing for the Premier League team and scored a further eight goals in 12 appearances on loan.

Brighton FPL prices unveiled on Friday

Friday: Leeds United FPL prices

Patrick Bamford (£7.5) led the way as Leeds prices were revealed last on Friday.

The striker had an injury affected season in 2021/22, significantly limiting his ability to build on a fine Premier League campaign the season before.

Jack Harrison, who scored eight goals last season, came in at £6m, while Ilan Meslier was the latest £4.5m goalkeeper to be confirmed.

New right-back Rasmus Kristensen was given a starting price of £5m, as was fellow new boy and central midfielder Marc Roca, who signed from Bayern Munich.

A third new signing, attacking midfielder Brenden Aaronson (5.5m), joined from Red Bull Salzburg. He scored nine goals in 46 games for his former club.

Joe Gelhardt, who featured in last season’s FPL game as a £4.5m forward, has risen to a starting price of £5.5m.

And Rodrigo (£6m) has been reclassified from a forward to a midfielder.
