<p>The Premier League returns on Boxing Day (December 26) as FPL Gameweek 17 gets underway &#8211; here is your guide to which teams have the best and worst FPL fixtures after the restart.</p>
<p>FPL managers have unlimited transfers up to the Gameweek 17 deadline (December 26, 11:00) and with several double gameweeks announced during the World Cup break, the Hub&#8217;s <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">fixture ticker</a> should be the first place to look to help plan your teams.</p>
<p>And while the Premier League has been away, our ticker has had an overhaul. You can now sort teams by predicted goals scored, the number of clean sheets and league points expected in a given number of gameweeks.</p>
<p>For the purposes of this article, we&#8217;re going to look at the next eight gameweeks of FPL fixtures &#8211; but log into the Hub or <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/join">join us</a> to look at the fixtures yourself.</p>

<h2>FPL fixtures: When are the double gameweeks?</h2>
<p>While focus was on the World Cup, the Premier League released the details of a number of rearranged fixtures, creating some<a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/double-gameweek-in-fantasy-premier-league"> double gameweeks</a>.</p>
<p>This involved games which were postponed due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II in FPL Gameweek 7. As well as these three matches being rearranged, two other games have been affected as a result of the new fixture dates.</p>
<p>The games are as follows:</p>
<ul>
<li>Fulham v Chelsea &#8211; Thursday, January 12, 20:00 &#8211; FPL Gameweek 19</li>
<li>Chelsea v Crystal Palace &#8211; Sunday, January 15, 14:00 &#8211; FPL Gameweek 20</li>
<li>Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur &#8211; Thursday, January 19, 20:00 &#8211; FPL Gameweek 20</li>
<li>Manchester City v Wolves &#8211; Sunday, January 22, 14:00 &#8211; FPL Gameweek 21</li>
<li>Arsenal v Manchester City &#8211; Wednesday, February 15, 19:30 &#8211; FPL Gameweek 23</li>
</ul>
<p>The City v Spurs game is subject to neither team having to play an FA Cup third-round replay. City play Chelsea on January 7, while Spurs face Portsmouth the same day.</p>
<p>These fixtures create three potential double gameweeks &#8211; Gameweek 19, 20 and 23 &#8211; for the following teams:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Gameweek 19: </strong>Chelsea (v City and Fulham) and Fulham (v Leicester and Chelsea)</li>
<li><strong>Gameweek 20: </strong>City (v Manchester United and Spurs) and Spurs (v Arsenal and City)</li>
<li><strong>Gameweek 23: </strong>City (v Aston Villa and Arsenal) and Arsenal (Brentford and City)</li>
</ul>
<p>City are therefore the main team to benefit, with two double gameweeks &#8211; subject to the Gameweek 20 caveat explained above &#8211; while Fulham, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal also have doubles.</p>
<p>Chelsea&#8217;s two Gameweek 19 fixtures fall either side of their FA Cup clash. With City their cup opponents, rotation could be a factor.</p>

<h2>FPL fixtures: The best</h2>
<p>Accounting for the double gameweeks and all other factors, our fixture ticker rates the following teams as having the best overall fixtures between Gameweek 17 and 24.</p>
<h3>1st: City</h3>
<p>With two double gameweeks, a triple up on City players will be popular come the restart.</p>
<p>The defending champions begin with a trip to Leeds, before a home tie against Everton and an away game versus Chelsea.</p>
<p>City are also predicted to comfortably score the most league points in this period, as well as score the most goals and keep more clean sheets than any other team, according to our new fixture ticker feature.</p>
<p>They lead the league for goals scored to date (40) and expected goals (xG) &#8211; 32.49 &#8211; ahead of first-placed Arsenal.</p>
<p>A well-rested <strong>Erling Haaland (£12.2m) </strong>is likely to be a hugely popular pick.</p>

<h3>2nd: Chelsea</h3>
<p>Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest are first up for Graham Potter&#8217;s men, followed by a City/Fulham double gameweek.</p>
<p>Chelsea have no wins in their last five Premier League games however, with just two points picked up since their 2-0 win over Villa on October 16.</p>
<p>They are sixth-bottom for xG (18.35) and their players as a whole have earned the tenth-most FPL points so far this season, so there is plenty of room for improvement after Christmas.</p>
<h3>3rd: Fulham</h3>
<p>The Cottagers play Crystal Palace away and host Southampton before their double gameweek.</p>
<p>Their fixtures are ranked third-best for attacking prospects, behind only Chelsea and City.</p>
<p>This could be an opportunity for star man <strong>Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.8m) </strong>who has been in action for Serbia at the World Cup.</p>
<p>Mitrovic has nine goals and four assists this season.</p>

<h3>4th: Arsenal</h3>
<p>The league leaders greet West Ham for a London derby before a meeting with Brighton at the Amex in Gameweek 18.</p>
<p>Newcastle, Spurs, United and Everton follow before the Gunners&#8217; double gameweek, where they play City and Brentford.</p>
<p>Our fixture ticker ranks them second for expected league points between Gameweek 17 and 24, second for clean sheets and third for goals.</p>
<p>Their players have picked up 827 FPL points this season, just one behind City&#8217;s squad.</p>
<h3>5th: Southampton</h3>
<p>New manager Nathan Jones has some reasonable fixtures to get stuck into post-restart.</p>
<p>Matches with south-coast rivals Brighton, plus Forest and Wolves, are among Saints&#8217; run of games.</p>
<p>Southampton sit bottom for FPL points gained (464), so are unlikely to attract significant fantasy interest unless Jones shows he can get the relegation candidates firing.</p>
<h2>FPL fixtures: The worst</h2>
<h3>16th: Wolves</h3>
<p>Julen Lopetegui takes charge of Wolves during a difficult run of games, according to our ticker.</p>
<p>City, Liverpool and United await over the next eight weeks, with Aston Villa away also potentially posing a tricky test with the fellow Midlands side playing better since the appointment of Unai Emery.</p>
<p>Wolves sit bottom of the league table on 10 points.</p>
<h3>17th: Liverpool</h3>
<p>Although Liverpool&#8217;s fixtures are rated 17th overall, the Reds are still predicted to score the second-most goals.</p>
<p>All is not lost, then, for the likes of <strong>Mohamed Salah (£12.8m)</strong>, who like Haaland missed out on the World Cup.</p>
<p>Villa away in Gameweek 17 is Liverpool&#8217;s first game back, with Leicester at home followed by away fixtures against Brentford and Brighton before Chelsea visit Anfield.</p>

<p>Newcastle at home and Liverpool away represent a challenging restart for the Foxes, who have won four of their last five league games.</p>
<p>Fulham and Forest follow but the eight-gameweek period ends with Spurs and United.</p>
<p><strong>James Maddison (£8.2m) </strong>has been their standout man so far, with seven goals and four assists leading to 77 FPL points.</p>

<h3>19th: Bournemouth</h3>
<p>Chelsea, United and Brighton are ranked as Bournemouth&#8217;s most difficult games coming up, according to our ticker.</p>
<p>Caretaker manager Gary O&#8217;Neil has been confirmed as the Cherries&#8217; permanent manager, following a promising spell as caretaker manager &#8211; so there will be no Premier League return for Marcelo Bielsa, as had been rumoured prior to the World Cup.</p>
<h3>20th: West Ham</h3>
<p>David Moyes&#8217; side visit the Emirates in Gameweek 17, with the likes of Newcastle, Chelsea and Spurs to come.</p>
<p>They rank bottom for attacking prospects over the next eight gameweeks and second-bottom in defensive terms.</p>
<p>West Ham lie 16th in the table, one point above the relegation zone.</p>
