<h2>FPL stats for Gameweek 1-3 analysed</h2>
<h3>Shots: Familiar faces atop the leaderboard</h3>
<p>The top of the shots charts includes a few familiar names.</p>
<p><strong>Erling Haaland </strong>leads for total shots (14), four ahead of <strong>Antoine Semenyo </strong>and <strong>Anthony Gordon</strong>.</p>
<p>Bournemouth midfielder Semenyo was a breakout star last season, surprising many by ranking third in this metric over the entire campaign.</p>
<p>He did not impress in terms of accuracy however, with just 32.8% of his efforts on target - and this is something to monitor in the coming weeks.</p>
<p>Currently, a 40% accuracy suggests a similar story but the Cherries star already has two goals and the joint-third best expected goals (xG).</p>
<p>Haaland meanwhile is already dominating for xG (3.88) - nearly double <strong>Ismaila Sarr </strong>in second (2.0) - and racking up a league-leading six big chances and scoring three times.</p>
<p>No one has a better expected goal involvement than his 72%.</p>

<h3>Salah's shots down...for now</h3>
<p><strong>Mohamed Salah </strong>broke the FPL points record in 2024/25 and took more shots than any other player (130).</p>
<p>He averaged 3.42 shots per start - but he has only had four in three games so far.</p>
<p>Some FPL managers have questioned whether he will be as attacking given the Reds' new signings.</p>
<p>It's too soon to tell whether this is the case but previous seasons would point to the likelihood of his shot levels increasing soon. Burnley (A) and Everton (H) should present opportunities.</p>
<p>And it's worth noting that he is joint-first among Liverpool players for shots in the box (four) and is fourth in the league for touches in the box (19), so he remains involved in attacks.</p>

<p><strong>Ollie Watkins </strong>is another player who has underwhelmed so far, with no goals or assists.</p>
