Chelsea are going to cause some headaches for FPL managers in the next couple of gameweeks.
The Blues aren’t in good form, but they face two teams in the relegation zone in their next two games, with both Southampton and Leicester travelling to Stamford Bridge. 
So is it worth getting involved in Chelsea players, even if it’s just for the next two gameweeks?

Cole Palmer isn’t in the best of form right now. 
The Englishman has scored just two goals in his past seven league games, and hasn’t been directly involved in any in his past five &#8211; although he does have a fantasy assist against West Ham. 
In that time, Palmer is still Chelsea’s joint-top scorer, and HE leads the Blues for shots (22) and shots on target (nine).
Although Palmer missed a big chance against Aston Villa last time out, the Englishman’s finishing hasn’t been too bad. 
From an Expected Goals total of 2.01 across his past seven games, Palmer has upped that to 2.07 xG on Target. That’s a shot placement ratio of 1.03, which isn’t bad. 
Palmer does far better at home too, with 11 goal involvements in 12 games at Stamford Bridge. 
Given the upcoming opposition, stick with Palmer despite his high price &#8211; he&#8217;s an interesting <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/best-fpl-captain-for-gameweek-27-salah-v-palmer/">captain</a> alternative to Mohamed Salah this week.

Robert Sanchez has understandably dropped in ownership because he hasn’t been starting for Chelsea. 
Filip Jorgensen has replaced him as No.1, but had a pretty costly howler against Aston Villa. 
Therefore there could be a chance that Sanchez gets another try, especially in the next couple of games &#8211; although Enzo Maresca has backed Jorgensen to <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-predicted-lineups">keep his place</a>.
Regardless, a Chelsea goalkeeper probably isn’t what you want in your team. The Blues are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league in 2025, conceding 13 goals. 
As a team, they’ve made 16 errors leading to shots, with six leading to a goal. Sanchez has been responsible for three errors leading to shots, and two errors leading to goals. 
The 13 goals conceded have come from just 9.88 xGOT, with Sanchez on -1.49 goals prevented.  
If you’re one of the few who still owns Sanchez, join the herd and sell.

Sticking with another defensive option, Marc Cucurella has seen more managers lose faith in him this gameweek. 
With defenders you want solidity at the back, but also the ability to attack. We’ve already covered the Blues&#8217; defensive issues with Sanchez, so what about Cucurella’s attacking potential?
Cucurella has played every minute of Chelsea’s past seven league games, scoring one goal against Wolves with no assists. He averages 0.86 shots per 90 in 2025.
His creativity has been even lower, at 0.71 chances created per 90, and 0.29 big chances.
 Cucurella’s xG is 0.14 per 90, and his Expected Assists 0.05 per 90. 
You’re not getting reliable clean sheets or goal involvements from Cucurella, so he&#8217;s probably a sell.

Enzo Fernandez scored Chelsea’s opener against Aston Villa, showing good movement to get into the box and tap in Pedro Neto’s cross. 
The Blues played in a system that allowed Enzo to advance, with Reece James helping Moises Caicedo in midfield.
 If Chelsea stick with that system, Enzo may be able to build on his four goals and four assists this season – plus an extra fantasy assist. 
In 2025, Enzo has averaged 2 shots per 90 minutes, placing him third among available Chelsea players. 
But that drops down to just 0.5 shots on target per 90 &#8211; Enzo&#8217;s shot placement ratio is 0.89, with his xGOT (1.75) lower than his xG (1.98). 
He has created 1.83 chances per 90, though is yet to record an assist or create a big chance. 
There’s also the fact that he has been booked in each of his past three games, taking the -1 on each occasion. 
It’s about 50/50 with Enzo, but for his price of £4.7m, it might be worth sticking for at least Gameweek 27
