Many FPL managers will be aware of Liverpool&#8217;s upcoming fixture run, which is perhaps the kindest in the Premier League right now.
Liverpool&#8217;s most challenging games in the next seven are two away trips to Crystal Palace and Arsenal, which FPL gives a Fixture Difficulty Rating of three and five (out of five) respectively, and a home game against Chelsea (3/5). 
The other four fixtures, including home games against Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Brighton are rated two. The remaining match is an away game at Wolves.

Despite his output, Salah’s price and the fact he may prevent you from owning Erling Haaland (£15.2m) will put many FPL managers off. 
Based on his performances to start 2024/25, though, the Egyptian forward is fast becoming a must-have player, especially given his usefulness as an FPL captain. 
After the first three matches, no Liverpool player has been involved in more goals (six—scoring three himself and assisting in three). Only the aforementioned Norwegian marksman has been more prolific in the league, with seven goals.
No player in Liverpool red has accumulated more bonus points (eight) this season, a figure Salah shares with Haaland. Plus, the Egyptian&#8217;s three assists place him only behind Cole Palmer (£10.6m) (four) in the embryonic Playmaker Award table.
 His four big chances created are the joint-most in the Premier League, and only three players are ahead of him for non-penalty xG (Expected Goals) with Haaland at the top (2.98), followed by Yoane Wissa (£6.1m) and Nicolas Jackson (£7.6m).
 Salah is currently on a three-game streak of either scoring or assisting. The last time he managed four games was part of a 12-match run of returns, starting at the tail end of the 2022/23 season and bleeding into last term.

The bulk of points for both Alexander-Arnold and Robertson have come through their defensive contributions so far, with Liverpool keeping three consecutive shutouts. 
Alexander-Arnold had a goal ruled out against Manchester United in Gameweek 3 however, and his attacking threat has certainly not diminished under new manager Arne Slot.
The Reds full-back, who enjoys drifting into midfield as well as bombing down the right flank, has uncharacteristically not been involved in a goal yet, but it&#8217;s not for want of trying. 
His three big chances created are the most of any defender this season and only one off the league-high figure. 
Alexander-Arnold also boasts the league&#8217;s third-highest xA (Expected Assists) of 1.5, placing him just behind Dwight McNeil (£5.4m) with 1.55 and Kevin De Bruyne (£9.6m) on 1.61. 
Considering the Reds’ upcoming fixtures, it seems only a matter of time before Alexander-Arnold breaks his duck.
The same could be said for Andy Robertson on the opposite flank.
Robertson is £1m cheaper than Alexander-Arnold and, like the England international, has yet to make an attacking contribution. 
And there&#8217;s not much to separate the pair, with the Scotland captain boasting a better xG per 90 in 2024, while Alexander-Arnold takes home the prize for xA per 90 minutes this year. 
That said, TAA has 1.46 expected assists from open play this season, which is the best figure of any defender.

Salah has unquestionably been Liverpool&#8217;s best-attacking player this season. 
However, not far behind is Luis Díaz, who made headlines at Old Trafford before the September international break by scoring two goals against Manchester United, bringing his total goals to three, along with one assist. 
His expected goals (xG) of 1.8 is the second best at Liverpool, behind Salah, while only Alexander-Arnold, Salah, and Dominik Szoboszlai (£6.5m) have higher expected assists (xA) totals than him. 
Three matches isn&#8217;t the largest sample size, but Díaz’s output is repaying his manager&#8217;s faith and keeping Cody Gakpo on the bench so far. His goals per 90 minutes (1.18) is the best of any Liverpool player, along with his xG per 90 (0.71).
 Form may be temporary, but there&#8217;s no question he&#8217;s riding a wave of momentum, and in FPL, that can be everything.
On the other hand, though, perhaps only Ryan Gravenberch (£5.0m) has benefited more from Arne Slot&#8217;s appointment than Diogo Jota. 
The Portuguese striker leads Liverpool&#8217;s attack in place of Darwin Núñez (£7.2m), whom many felt would share that duty with Jota.
After scoring vs Ipswich and assisting against Brentford, a blank followed in the win over United, and it&#8217;s worth noting Jota is yet to complete a full 90 minutes. 
However, an injury-free Jota beats Díaz for consistency. Indeed, among Liverpool players in 2024, it&#8217;s Jota &#8211; not Salah &#8211; that ranks first for goals, xG, and assists per 90 minutes.

Liverpool&#8217;s impressive defensive record so far makes any member of their backline worth considering. 
When choosing a defender, the additional traits often make the difference. Van Dijk in particular has proven to be a threat from set-pieces, and can earn bonus points on a regular basis.
It&#8217;s early in the season, but the Dutch defender has already earned an additional point alongside Liverpool&#8217;s three clean sheets. However, in the last game against Manchester United, he lost one due to a late booking.
Despite carrying some aerial threat, Van Dijk clearly lacks the attacking output of someone like Alexander-Arnold, and even Robertson at the same price has outscored the Dutchman for FPL points per game in every season except 2022/23.
Verdict: Avoid
