 Fantasy Football Hub member Brendan Sylvester is ranked number one in the world in FPL!
Here, he reveals his team for Gameweek 11 and shares the story of his season so far.
Brendan had been playing FPL for seven years before joining the Hub in August 2023, with his best rank in the millions.

<h3>Tell us a bit about your fantasy football history</h3>
I’ve been playing FPL for about eight years now but until recently, I didn’t have much time to dive into the details. 
I was more of a 'set and forget' manager, usually landing somewhere in the lower millions by the end of the season. 
This past year though, I’ve been able to get way more involved, watching matches each week and really feeling those ups and downs with every green and red arrow. 
FPL has made watching even the smaller games exciting and I’m taking deeper interest in players I hadn’t even heard of before. 
Competing in mini-leagues with friends has also added some fun rivalry and made those bragging rights even sweeter.
<h3>You hit the top 10k in Gameweek 1 and were top 20 by Gameweek 8 - what's worked so well?</h3>
This season, my main strategy has been all about maximising each position based on fixtures. 
I’ve gone for a midfield-heavy set-up with premium picks. Personally, I find they offer more consistent returns than forwards. 
Skipping Erling Haaland this season has freed up funds to diversify my lineup and so far, it’s paid off. 
With Mohamed Salah, Bukayo Saka, Son Heung-min, and Cole Palmer in midfield, I can usually count on at least one of them delivering returns each week.

<h3>How has Fantasy Football Hub helped you in your rise up the table?</h3>
One of the main ways I use the Hub is for planning transfers a few weeks in advance. 
I like to get a sense of how the fixtures are shaping up for players in my current squad and spot where there might be upcoming fixture swings for others. 
The <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">fixture ticker</a> is perfect for this - it gives me a quick look at which teams have a good run coming up so I can make the most of those match-ups. For instance, Nottingham Forest started the season with a solid set of fixtures but things take a tougher turn around Gameweek 11. 
The <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/ai-team-rating">AI transfers tool</a> also comes in handy as a second opinion on my planned moves. Keeping my team rating high with solid predicted points each week definitely eases my mind and helps me avoid any last-minute panic transfers.
