<h2>What are the rules on yellow cards?</h2>
<p>Players who received five yellow cards in their sides&#8217; first 19 games have to serve a one-match ban.</p>
<p>The threshold then rises to 10 yellows over the first 32 games, followed by a final ban for 15 yellows in 38 games.</p>
<p>A suspension for picking up too many bookings must be served in the Premier League &#8211; and not in the FA Cup or Carabao Cup.</p>

<p>The 32 game threshold has passed for all teams, so players now need a minimum of 15 yellows for a ban.</p>

<p>None, as no player can reach 15 yellows before the end of the season.</p>
<p>Joao Palhinha came closest, sitting on 13 bookings with two games to go.</p>

<p>Sheffield United&#8217;s Anel Ahmedodzic will miss Double Gameweek 37 after a sending off against Fulham.</p>
<p>Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez is ruled out until Gameweek 38, thanks to his red card in Double Gameweek 34.</p>

<h2>Is it easier to pick up yellow cards this season?</h2>
<p>FPL managers could be frustrated by yellow card suspensions more than ever this season.</p>
<p>Referees have been directed to clamp down on things like time wasting, such as delaying goal kicks, and dissent.</p>
<p>There were <a href="https://twitter.com/OptaJoe/status/1703120935589388677">more yellow cards</a> handed out on Saturday, September 16 than any other day in the Premier League&#8217;s history, according to Opta.</p>
<p>Thirteen of these came in the Tottenham Hotspur v Sheffield United game &#8211; another record.</p>
