<p>A number of players are a doubt for FPL Gameweek 2 after picking up injuries in the opening games of the season &#8211; here&#8217;s who to keep an eye on ahead of the weekend.</p>

<p>But below is a selection of players to look out for in our updates.</p>

<h2>Yankuba Minteh</h2>
<p>Minteh was one of our top fantasy picks of all the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-transfer-hub">summer signings</a> so far and he got off to a good start, picking up an assist against Everton.</p>
<p>But the former Newcastle midfielder had to come off just before half-time after a clash of heads with <strong>Vitalii Mykolenko (£4.5m)</strong>.</p>
<p>Minteh wasn&#8217;t keen to come off but Brighton brought on <strong>Simon Adingra (£5.5m) </strong>under the league&#8217;s concussion protocol.</p>
<p>Concussion would usually rule a player out for at least six days, depending on the severity.</p>
<p>Speaking after the Everton game, Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler said of Minteh:</p>

<h2>Declan Rice</h2>
<p>Rice lasted 85 minutes of Arsenal&#8217;s win over Wolves before being taken off.</p>
<p>The England international looks to be OK, with cramp diagnosed by Mikel Arteta after a summer of Euro 2024 action. He said:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Yeah he was cramping. He hasn’t had the longest pre-season ever. But he was really trying and he put an unbelievable performance again. At the end he was struggling a bit.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<h2>Matty Cash</h2>
<p>Cash was left out of Villa&#8217;s final friendly of pre-season, leading to the potential of young full-back <strong>Kosta Nedeljkovic (£4.0m) </strong>starting against West Ham.</p>
<p>But Cash was fit to start and played 82 minutes, before being replaced by the 18-year-old.</p>
<p>There were no reports in the local media of an injury issue for Cash, however he was reportedly seen holding the top of his leg when he came off.</p>
<p>Unai Emery&#8217;s Gameweek 2 press conference should provide clarity if there is a problem &#8211; and with the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">fixtures</a> improving for Villa from Gameweek 3, an extended Cash layoff could offer a super-budget route into their defence.</p>

<h2>Savinho</h2>
<p>Savinho impressed on his league debut, starting against Chelsea and playing 45 minutes before picking up a knee issue late in the first half.</p>
<p>Although the word &#8216;knee&#8217; will spark fears of a long-term setback, Pep Guardiola was not too concerned after the game. He said:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Some disturbance in the knee. He said he knows perfectly why, had it in the past.</p>
<p>&#8220;He has to solve it and it’s a question of a lack of preparation, a lack of training sessions. Apparently it’s not a big, big problem. Will be ready for hopefully next Saturday.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<h2>Wes Burns</h2>
<p>Ipswich were without <strong>Arijanet Muric (£4.5m) </strong>in Gameweek 1, with the Tractor Boys&#8217; new goalkeeper out with a minor calf injury.</p>
<p>Burns had to come off in the second half against Liverpool, a worry for Kieran McKenna who is already missing some first-team regulars in attack. He said:</p>
<blockquote><p>Wes has a hamstring [injury] &#8211; we don&#8217;t know the severity of it yet. He&#8217;ll get assessed in the next few days. That&#8217;s a disappointing one.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>A Burns absence would potentially increase the chances of a Manchester City clean sheet in Gameweek 2.</p>

<h2>Danilo &#8211; and other Forest players on the injury list</h2>
<p>Nottingham Forest midfielder Danilo suffered a horror injury against Bournemouth, breaking his ankle.</p>
<p>The Brazilian received extensive treatment on the pitch and now faces many months on the sidelines. Nuno Espirito Santa said:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;It&#8217;s serious, we are going to miss him, not only on the pitch. He is a wonderful boy. He is always smiling, always with joy, and we wish him the best.</p>
<p>&#8220;He is leaving hospital just now and he is going to be assessed tomorrow. It is serious but the good news is he is stable.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Danilo is not the only injury worry for Forest.</p>
<p>Full-back <strong>Ola Aina (£4.5m) </strong>limped off in the second half, while <strong>Anthony Elanga (£5.5m)</strong> has been flagged as a doubt with an eye issue.</p>

<h2>Marc Cucurella</h2>
<p>Cucurella was among the players who reached the final of Euro 2024 and had a limited pre-season as a result.</p>
<p>He started against City on Sunday though, and played 80 minutes, before limping off after going down holding his leg.</p>
<p>The Spaniard could just have been suffering from cramp following his busy summer, however Enzo Maresca&#8217;s press conference later in the week should confirm if there are any serious worries.</p>
<p>He was replaced by <strong>Renato Veiga (£4.5m)</strong>, with<strong> Ben Chilwell (£5.0m)</strong> ill, although Maresca previously said the left-back could leave the club.</p>

<h2>Rodrigo Bentancur and Pedro Porro</h2>
<p>Bentancur was stretchered off against Leicester on Monday after a nasty head injury, which appeared to leave him unconscious.</p>
<p>He was seen sitting up after receiving medical attention and received oxygen before Spurs enacted the concussion protocol and made a substitution. Ange Postecoglou said:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t have a lot of information but I know he is up and he&#8217;s communicating so he&#8217;s fine from that point of view.</p>
<p>&#8220;But [it&#8217;s] obviously a head injury and I&#8217;ll leave it in the hands of medical team now. The key thing is that he&#8217;s definitely conscious and communicating.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>The midfielder is unlikely to make it back for Spurs&#8217; next game on Saturday.</p>
<p>Porro is another Spurs player who picked up an issue against the Foxes, hobbling off late on, however Postecoglou was not asked about it after the match.</p>
