<h3>Gameweek 23 Clean Sheet Results</h3>
We had seven clean sheets in Double Gameweek 23. Arsenal and Chelsea, who were in the top three held off Burnley and Spurs respectively. City at 50% conceded against Southampton which looked like a harder game than it seemed on paper.
A few surprises this week with Burnley holding off Arsenal in a stalemate and Norwich thumping Watford 3-0 away from home, which would have come as a shock and disappointment to many, especially those with Watford attackers.
Newcastle keeping out, and beating Leeds United was another unexpected result but a huge win for the Toon now sees them just one point from the relegation zone.

It's no surprise that Manchester City are the clear favourites to keep a clean sheet in Gameweek 24 with a massive 62% chance. They have been by far the strongest defence in the league and, according to our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/">OPTA for FPL tool</a>, only 14 goals conceded (1st) with an xGC of 16.8 (1st).
Manchester United are second favourites to keep a shut-out. The Red Devils have only kept five clean sheets this season, conceding 30 goals (9th) with an xGC of 35.0 (14th). This won't fill owners of their defensive assets with much confidence but the high odds are more to do with their opponents this week.
Burnley have only scored 16 goals (19th) with an xG of 18.3 (20th). You would imagine they will be a bit better going forward now with new signing Wout Weghorst (£6.5m) but he could well take some time to settle. David Dea Gea (£5.2m) is still fairly highly owned in the top 10k.
Liverpool and West Ham are both tied on 44% with games against Leicester City and Watford. I personally cannot see Liverpool keeping a clean sheet against the Foxes. They have been good going forward – scoring 34 goals (6th) with an xG of 30.7 (8th).
The Reds have been a solid defensive side conceding only 19 goals (4th) with an xGC of 23.1 (2nd) but with the likes of Patson Daka, Kelechi Iheancho, James Maddison and Harvey Barnes they do have a very good attack.

I am more confident with West Ham United's chances. Watford at home is as good as it gets for them both defensively and offensively. It's unlikely the Hornet's new manager Roy Hodgson is going to strike fear into the hearts of the Hammers and he isn’t exactly known to be too attacking. Watford have only scored 23 goals (16th) with an xG of of 25.7 (15th). West Ham defenders are quite popularly owned and will probably be making the starting 11 of owners.
Wolves vs Arsenal looks like its going be a low scoring affair. Bruno Lage’s men have been solid in defensive as usual but going forward have been terrible only managing 19 goals (18th) with an an xG of 24.5 (16th). Defensively though they have been one of the best in the league. They have only let in 16 goals (19th) with an xGC of 27.4 (5th), therefore it’s not going to be an easy task for the Gunners. Especially with them being away from home. A <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">good fixture</a> I think for Aaron Ramsdale (£5.1m) who will be the highest owned from this fixture I imagine.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Spurs and Crystal Palace also kept clean sheets. Both have decent defences and up against mediocre attacks in Southampton and Norwich. Owners of Vicente Guaita (£4.6m) will be hoping he keeps his place after he was reinstated in goals from Jack Butland (£4.4m).
Tottenham defenders will be a good shout but at the moment it’s hard to predict which of them is the most nailed. Their wingbacks – Sergio Reguilon and Emerson Royal are the most attractive options but both have been rotated recently.
Chelsea and Brighton blank in Gameweek 24 and the Blues also blank in Gameweek 25 and 27, so now is a very good time to move on from their assets until Gameweek 28  when their fixtures improve drastically.
