Bukayo Saka was the star premium player in FPL Gameweek 7 &#8211; the last weekend of Premier League action before the latest international break.

<h2>Data can be defied as Saka shatters Saints hopes</h2>
Bukayo Saka was the pick of the premium players this week as he helped Arsenal come from a goal down against Southampton to win 3-1.
The winger was involved in all three of the Gunners&#8217; goals, assisting Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli before an error gifted him an 88th minute goal.
Going into Gameweek 6, we highlighted how Saka had managed just one Premier League haul of three goal involvements in 78 starts.
The 79th game typically brought his second, with the likes of Hub team revealer <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/jian-batra-fpl-team-reveal-24-25">Jian Batra</a> profiting from captaining him ahead of Erling Haaland.

Haaland, the captaincy choice of nearly three quarters of the top 250,000 managers, could not get on the scoresheet against Fulham.
And most transferred-in player Cole Palmer, the next most popular pick, only managed an assist and two bonus for six points. The Chelsea midfielder did however have six shots on goal and was denied by a Matz Sels double save.
Saka was the fourth most picked captain behind Mohamed Salah, who like Haaland also failed to score.

<h2>Brentford are slowing down &#8211; Wolves defence worsens</h2>
Thomas Frank&#8217;s team had scored inside the first minute in three straight league games heading into Gameweek 7.
They left it late to break the deadlock on Saturday though&#8230;scoring after one minute and 16 seconds through James Collins.
Frank joked after the game that their slightly slower start was a result of losing the coin toss and not kicking off.
But his side, which featured £4.0m defender Sepp Van den Berg for a fouth game running, made up for it by putting five past Wolves in a thrilling 5-3 win.
Wolves boss Gary O&#8217;Neil described the game as the &#8216;worst game&#8217; he had been involved in as a coach, with &#8216;crazy decisions&#8217; leading to their downfall.
The away side particularly struggled aerially, gifting Brentford a number of free headers including Collins&#8217; goal.
They have now conceded 21 goals &#8211; six more than any other team &#8211; and are into the bottom three for expected goals conceded (xGC).
This was not the case when they conceded six against Chelsea, when their xGC was midtable.
Wolves have had one of the worst fixture runs to start the season, which goes some way to mitigating their data.
Defender Rayan Ait-Nouri also managed to come away with nine points, thanks to his goal and assist.
He now has two goals and two assists this season and could be an option from Gameweek 10 when the fixtures improve &#8211; even if his team remains leaky at the back.

<h2>City troubled by Traore, Antonio terrorises Tractor Boys</h2>
Two physical presences in Adam Traore and Michail Antonio caused serious problems for their opponents in Gameweek 7.
Fulham, who benched Emile Smith Rowe, gave Manchester City a scare at the Etihad.
City came out 3-2 winners but Fulham&#8217;s expected goals (xG) of 2.41 was higher than their 1.57. Traore had three big chances and was responsible for 1.04 xG himself.
The midfielder got the beating of both Rico Lewis and Kyle Walker during the game but somehow came away with a blank.

Elsewhere, Antonio top scored for the week with 18 points, scoring one and assisting three.
Ipswich struggled to deal with him, something noted by Kieran McKenna in his post-match interview. McKenna said they failed to deal with direct balls into Antonio and Tomas Soucek.
The Tractor Boys had a troublesome striker of their own too. Liam Delap scored his fourth of the season and forced a strong save from Alphonse Areola to deny him a second &#8211; and had a penalty shout turned down.

<h2>Johnson on fire but Spurs throw away lead&#8230;again</h2>
Spurs threw away a two-goal lead at Brighton, conceding three second-half goals.
The match-up was one that promised goals and it delivered, with the Seagulls recovering from last weekend&#8217;s defeat against Chelsea to get back to winning ways.
Brennan Johnson gave Spurs the lead with his sixth goal in six games in all competitions.
But his and James Maddison&#8217;s strikes were not enough to secure the win &#8211; and Ange Postecoglou&#8217;s team were consigned to a 10th league loss when they have been leading by two or more goals. They are the first club to hit double figures in this regard.

<h2>Konsa and Alisson face spells on sidelines</h2>
Ezri Konsa and Alisson were among the injury concerns to come out of Gameweek 7, with the pair owned by 13.4% and 8.9% respectively.
Unai Emery did not know if it was a &#8216;big or small injury&#8217; for Konsa in the aftermath of Aston Villa&#8217;s 0-0 draw with Manchester United.
The defender was seen clutching his hamstring after a collision.
It was also a hamstring issue for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson, who was replaced by third-choice Vitezslav Jaros against Crystal Palace. Caoimhin Kelleher was not in the squad due to illness.
Reds managers Arne Slot bemoaned their early Saturday kick-off after playing in the Champions League on Wednesday night &#8211; an issue his predecessor Jurgen Klopp also took regular isssue with. Slot said:

&#8220;Maybe this is something the FA should look at &#8211; if you play Wednesday evening why do we have an early kick-off in an away game?
&#8220;Or they have to look at me and rotate all my players, maybe it is also bad luck, I don&#8217;t know.
&#8220;The positive thing is that Jaros did really well last season when on loan. He was champion and won the cup. He wanted to play desperately. At this club we need three good goalkeepers. He was outstanding today.&#8221;
