<h2 style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>1) Emiliano Martínez (Ownership: 38.4%) - FPL Players to Avoid in Gameweek 1</strong></h2>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Last season’s <strong>top FPL point scoring <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/who-are-the-best-fpl-premium-goalkeepers/">goalkeeper</a></strong> comes with a premium price tag of £5.5m attached to him.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Needless to say, for someone who accumulated <strong>4.84 FPL points per start</strong> over the 2020/21 season, <strong><a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-aston-villa-fpl-players/">Martínez</a> </strong>has the potential to be one of the most explosive goalkeepers of the season once again.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">I can see why FPL managers have invested in him. However, a quick glance at the <strong><a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/bigmanbakar/74">Fantasy Football Hub season ticker</a></strong> shows that <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/aston-villa-fantasy-football-tips-team-preview/"><strong>Aston Villa</strong></a> face <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-chelsea-fpl-players/"><strong>Chelsea</strong></a>, <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-everton-fpl-players/"><strong>Everton</strong></a>, <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-fantasy-football-manchester-united-best-player-picks/"><strong>Manchester United</strong></a>, <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-spurs-fpl-players/"><strong>Spurs</strong></a>, <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-arsenal-fpl-players/"><strong>Arsenal</strong> </a>and <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-west-ham-fpl-players/"><strong>West</strong> <strong>Ham</strong></a> between <strong>Gameweeks 4</strong> and <strong>10</strong>.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">As a result, I believe there will be more reliable options to target for clean sheets, especially at the beginning of the season.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">It's also worth noting that only <strong>West Brom</strong> and<strong> Sheffield United</strong> had a worse expected goals conceded number than <strong>Villa</strong> this calendar year.</p>

<h2 style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>2) Aaron Cresswell (Ownership: 19.5%) - FPL Players to Avoid in Gameweek 1</strong></h2>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">According to <strong><a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/bigmanbakar/77">Fantasy Football Hub's OPTA tool</a>,</strong> <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-fantasy-football-best-west-ham-players-tips/"><strong>Cresswell</strong> </a><strong>(£5.5m)</strong> was second among all defenders for big chances created this calendar year. I have no doubts regarding his FPL pedigree.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">However, when <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/who-are-the-best-fpl-mid-priced-defenders/"><strong>Vladimir Coufal</strong> </a>is £5.0m, I struggle to justify the premium price. <strong>Coufal created just one big chance fewer than his fellow full back</strong> this year and is £0.5m cheaper.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">I am also slightly unsure about West Ham’s fixtures from a defensive point of view. When I look at their first six Gameweeks, I noticed that they<strong> kept only one clean sheet in those reverse fixtures in 2021</strong>.</p>
<h2 style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>3) Mason Mount (Ownership: 21.8%) - FPL Players to Avoid in Gameweek 1</strong></h2>
<p><strong><a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-chelsea-fpl-players/">Mount</a> (£7.5m)</strong> will be a good asset to own at some point in the season. I don't think this is the right time to invest in him though.</p>
<p><a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-fantasy-football-chelsea-best-player-tips/"><strong>Chelsea</strong> </a>face <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fantasy-football-tips-team-preview-arsenal/"><strong>Arsenal</strong></a>, <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-fantasy-football-liverpool-best-player-picks/"><strong>Liverpool</strong></a>, <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-spurs-fpl-players/"><strong>Spurs</strong> </a>and <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-fantasy-football-manchester-city-best-player-picks/"><strong>Manchester</strong> <strong>City</strong></a> in four of their opening six matches. Therefore, the ceiling of their attacking players is limited.</p>
<p>With the likes of <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/who-are-the-best-fpl-mid-priced-midfielders/"><strong>Diogo Jota</strong></a> <strong>(£7.5m)</strong> available at the same price, and <strong><a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-leicester-city-fpl-players/">Harvey Barnes</a> </strong>£0.5m cheaper, it's better to wait and see with Mount before investing in him.</p>
