Euro 2024 starts on June 14 &#8211; and the tournament will be accompanied by the Telegraph&#8217;s (TFF) very own fantasy game.
In this article, we cover the basics of the game to get you started.

<h3>The basics</h3>
Those familiar with the regular TFF game will be at home with the Euro 2024 edition of the game.
TFF is an 11 player game with no bench &#8211; and unlike in many other fantasy formats, you don&#8217;t even need to select a captain.
To get started, you need to pick their 11 players with a budget of £50m. Unlimited transfers can be made up until the first kick-off of the tournament.
From then on, you&#8217;ll have 50 transfers to change your team.
You can enter up to five teams in TFF.

<h3>Formations and player limits</h3>
There is no limit on how many players you can pick from one team.
Rotating block defences is a common strategy in TFF and the lack of player limits means you won&#8217;t have to make choices between prioritising attacking assets or defensive ones.
Formation is flexible too, with 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 3-5-2, 4-5-1, 3-4-3, 5-4-1 and 5-3-2 available.
<h3>Making transfers</h3>
You can make a maximum of eight transfers per round in the group stage. This will increase to 10 per round in the knockout phase.
There will be another opportunity to make unlimited changes in between the end of the group stage and the Round of 16.

For those who haven&#8217;t played TFF before, it is important to note when transfers can be made.
Changes can be made in between games &#8211; for example a Spain player who plays at 17:00 on June 15 can be transferred out for an Italy player before they play Albania at 20:00. Both the Spain player and Italy pick will score points for your team.

<h3>Scoring points</h3>
Clean sheet points are one quirk of the TFF scoring system. &#8216;Part clean-sheet&#8217; points are earned by those who play less than 60 minutes &#8211; so there&#8217;s limited frustration when your defender is subbed off early.
Meanwhile, goalkeepers earn save points and midfielders are rewarded for tackles.
Points are not awarded in penalty shoot outs, but they will be lost if cards are handed out.

<h3>Euro 2024 qualifying: Most saves</h3>
According to <a href="https://fbref.com/en/comps/678/keepers/UEFA-Euro-Qualifying-Stats">FBref</a> data, these are the goalkeepers with the best saves per 90 record in qualifying. We have filtered out players from teams who haven&#8217;t made the finals.
These figures could differ significantly during the tournament based on the quality of opponent faced, however those in goal for some of the lower-ranked teams are likely to rack up save points. Clean sheets may be harder to come by though.

<h3>Euro 2024 qualifying: Most tackles</h3>
Taken from the UEFA website, the players who made the most tackles in qualifying are listed below. There are some familiar names to TFF players in the top 10, with Fulham tackle magnet Joao Palhinha topping the tree.
The Portuguese made the most tackles in the Premier League this season (163), 57 more than his nearest rival.

<h3>TFF Euro 2024 prizes</h3>
The overall winner will receive £2,000, with £500 for the runner-up, £200 for third and £100 for fourth to 10th.
TFF also runs some of its own leagues.
The One League has a limit of one team per person, with a prize of £1,000.
The Golden Boot League offers £500 for the team which has scored the highest number of goals. Goals scored in penalty shootouts are not included in the total.
Finally, the winners of the TFF Facebook and Twitter leagues will each scoop £50.
