<h2><strong>How much should you spend on goalkeepers in FPL?</strong></h2>
<p>Try to not spend more than a total of £9.5 million on goalkeepers.</p>
<p>Why? Apart from shifting your budget further forward, cheap stoppers offer excellent value and rack up extra points gained from saves, even in the more difficult fixtures.</p>
<p>While every season is different, its often best to opt for two cheap goalkeepers that rotate well (i.e. home and away).</p>
<p>This season, the most <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/who-are-the-best-fpl-premium-goalkeepers">expensive goalkeeper options</a> are £5.5m, making these premium picks a real possibility.</p>
<h2><strong>What should you look for in an FPL defender?</strong></h2>
<p>The bread and butter for defenders are clean sheets. But that doesn’t necessarily mean only defenders from the big teams.</p>
<p>Bargains can be found in some of the smaller teams who are solid defensively.</p>
<p>Try to hunt down defenders with good fixtures over the medium to long-term (six-12 games).</p>
<p>Attacking full-backs, centre backs that get forward for set pieces or any defender that actually takes set-pieces (corners, free kicks or even penalties) are the place to go.</p>
