<h2>How to win at FPL: Formations and team structure</h2>
<p>Some FPL managers will swear by 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 formations, with a slight preference of going for 3-4-3. Why? Because midfielders and especially forwards score the most goals - pure and simple.</p>
<p>However, statistical analysis has in the past suggested we could actually be better off with four or even five at the back as that is where the value has been.</p>
<p>The lack of premium price points in the 2023/24 season game could change things though. With a lot of midfielders in the £7.0m-£8.5m price bracket, we could see a lot of squads starting with five midfielders and two strikers.</p>
<p>Formation is a bit of a contested point, with pros and cons for each. In reality, it largely depends on the season and the players on offer. An effective strategy for winning at FPL often involves switching between formations.</p>
<p>One thing is for certain - you need a balanced team with a variety of price points. Below we will outline a few example structures.</p>
