<h2>Fantasy Football Hub&#8217;s World Cup Fantasy team reveal</h2>
<h3>Goalkeepers</h3>
Targeting players who qualify for <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fifa-world-cup-fantasy-2026-how-to-play-guide">Scouting Bonus</a> points is our aim in this position &#8211; but it&#8217;s getting difficult to find a decent option as the key targets creep closer to 5% ownership.
Budget shot-stopper Maxime Crepeau ($4.0m) is among those in danger of missing out, as more managers find out he is expected to be Canada&#8217;s number one.
Currently in 4.6% of teams, we could swap him out if he goes over or too near to 5%.
Norway&#8217;s Orjan Nyland ($4.2m), Austria&#8217;s Alexander Schlager ($4.6m) and Yassine Bounou ($4.7m) are among the alternatives but all of these picks have a less favourable fixture in either Matchday 1 or 2. Alisson ($5.0m) could dip under 5% too.
Camilo Vargas ($4.3m) should be a safer bet in ownership terms, at 3.9%, with enticing fixtures against Uzbekistan and DR Congo adding to his appeal.

<h3>Defenders</h3>
Joshua Kimmich ($5.5m) and Marc Cucurella ($5.1m) have superb clean sheet odds &#8211; enough to justify not having Scouting Bonus potential.
Cucurella has been in and out of our team as we look to squeeze in top-price midfielders and forwards, however Spain have a greater than 60% chance of a shutout in both their first two group games &#8211; hard to ignore.
Johan Vasquez ($4.7m) provides interest for the opening match of the tournament. The centre-back has been in surprisingly strong goalscoring form in their recent friendlies. Let&#8217;s hope he hasn&#8217;t peaked too soon!
Nico Elvedi ($4.3m) looks to be slightly more nailed than Silvan Widmer ($4.2m) in a strong Switzerland backline.

Completing the back five is Ecuador&#8217;s Joel Ordonez ($3.9m). This spot was previously taken by Johan Mojica ($3.9m), who is likely to reach 5% ownership before tonight&#8217;s deadline.
An Argentina or Uruguay defender could rival Ordonez, as could attacking American Sergino Dest ($4.3m) in his home World Cup.
Argentina have gone a bit under the radar among the fantasy community in our opinion &#8211; and the likes of Nicolas Tagliafico ($4.3m) are rare examples of Scouting Bonus defenders from the top teams.

<h3>Midfielders</h3>
Florian Wirtz ($7.5m) and Bruno Fernandes ($8.5m) are the most nailed of our midfielders, having been in all our drafts to date.
There&#8217;s a case to go for Leroy Sane ($7.4m) as a Germany attacker with Scouting Bonus, however there is a little bit of doubt over his minutes, despite Lennart Karl going home injured.
We really like Marcel Sabitzer ($6.8m) for his multiple routes to points in an Austria team who face Jordan first.
It&#8217;s a little surprising he&#8217;s not in more than 5% of teams, perhaps because of the tricky Matchday 2 clash against Argentina. He could be one we move on for the next round.
Raphinha ($8.2m) and Michael Olise ($8.5m) are two picks with a better Matchday 2 than Matchday 1 but have enough quality to justify selection from the start and save using precious transfers on them.

<h3>Forwards</h3>
Our forward picks are more notable for who&#8217;s not made the team than who has. There&#8217;s no room for Kylian Mbappe ($10.5m) &#8211; for now.
Kai Havertz ($7.8m) gets the nod over the Frenchman due to his significantly superior <a href="https://www.elevenify.com/p/free-world-cup-2026-predictions">Elevenify</a> player projections.
Fixture plays a major role here, with Germany expected to hammer Curacao, while France face Senegal.
Going against such a highly owned player is a risk but hopefully if France do overwhelm the African team, Olise will help to cover some of the damage.
Erling Haaland ($10.5m) is chosen for Norway&#8217;s plum fixture against Iraq, while Mikel Oyarzabel ($8.1m) could prove excellent value up top for Spain.

<h3>Booster strategy and transfer plans</h3>
We will be targeting the first two rounds of games, opting to Wildcard in Matchday 3 in case rotation affects some lineups.
A 12th Man in Matchday 2 is likely, with our choice dependent on our transfer plans.
We&#8217;ll look to swap Haaland for Mbappe, giving us double France when they play Iraq.
And a 12th Man on Vinicius Junior ($10.0m), who is hard to reach using free transfers, would mean two Brazilian attackers against Haiti.
Our second transfer remains flexible depending on how Matchday 1 goes.
