<p>Double Gameweek 28 offers Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers the latest chance to use their Triple Captain chip &#8211; but is it the best remaining opportunity?</p>
<p>Just over three quarters of the game&#8217;s top 250,000 managers have already used their Triple Captain, with most opting to play use it on <strong>Erling Haaland (£14.5m) </strong>in Double Gameweek 25.</p>
<p>Those with chip still in hand could use it on <strong>Dominic Solanke (£7.1m) </strong>this week, the top<a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions"> predicted points scorer</a> according to <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/ai-team-rating">Hub AI</a>.</p>
<p>The Bournemouth forward plays Sheffield United and Luton at home &#8211; but could there be better options before the season is over?</p>

<h2>Is Solanke a good use of the FPL Triple Captain in Double Gameweek 28?</h2>

<p>Solanke is having his best season in the top flight, scoring 14 goals and assisting three in 26 appearances.</p>
<p>He is the league&#8217;s joint-fourth highest scorer behind <strong>Erling Haaland (£14.5m)</strong>, <strong>Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) </strong>and <strong>Mohamed Salah (£13.0m)</strong>.</p>
<p>As well as having a strong goalscoring record this season, when Bournemouth score he is likely to be involved. While on the pitch, he has either scored or assisted 49% of his team&#8217;s goals.</p>
<p>He is also on penalties and tends to play full matches, averaging 89 minutes per appearance.</p>
<p>All this makes him a good potential Triple Captain &#8211; and his suitability is strengthened when taking into account he has the best fixtures. He faces two bottom-three clubs, both on home soil.</p>

<h3>Fitness, sharpness and blanks reason to pause?</h3>
<p>There are points of caution however.</p>
<p>Solanke was flagged as a doubt for Gameweek 27, having missed Bournemouth&#8217;s FA Cup defeat to Leicester.</p>
<p>The Englishman came through the game against Burnley, although manager Andoni Iraola noted post-match that his side&#8217;s talisman had been lacking sharpness. He said:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I think he was missing some sharpness, because he hasn&#8217;t trained.</p>
<p>&#8220;When you miss three or four days of training during the week, probably you don&#8217;t feel so sharp.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>Sky&#8217;s <a href="https://twitter.com/BenRansomSky">Ben Ransom</a>, who has helpfully kept FPL managers in mind when speaking to players and managers recently, spoke to Solanke about how he found the game. He said:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;[It&#8217;s been] kind of difficult. I&#8217;ve been in quite a bit of pain during the week but obviously I didn&#8217;t want to miss any games. I didn&#8217;t quite manage to make the cup game but got myself back alright for today.</p>
<p>&#8220;[There was concern I wouldn&#8217;t be able to play] earlier in the week but I had a scan and it wasn&#8217;t too bad, so it&#8217;s more just how I felt leading up to the game and I felt like I could get through the game.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Solanke added that he had &#8216;a little bit&#8217; of pain during the game but was &#8216;alright&#8217;, suggesting the injury is something which could require ongoing management.</p>
<p>This could be a nagging concern for those looking to Triple Captain him. He did however end the interview by saying &#8216;I&#8217;ll be fine&#8217; when asked if he was confident he would play a part in both the double gameweek fixtures.</p>
<p>Team news ahead of the weekend will be important &#8211; and major doubts over his expected minutes could weaken his case for the triple captaincy.</p>

<p>Solanke finished the Burnley match without an attacking return, registering one shot on target.</p>
<p>Consistency of points scoring could also convince FPL managers to consider other options.</p>
<p>Despite managing 130 FPL points &#8211; the ninth best total &#8211; Solanke has blanked 13 times, half his total appearances. One of these was against Sheffield United in Gameweek 13.</p>
<p>Haaland has come away empty handed seven times out of 22, Watkins nine out of 27 and Salah five out of 21.</p>

<h2>What other Triple Captain opportunities are there?</h2>
<p>While using the Triple Captain chip in a single gameweek is a possibility, most experienced managers prefer to use it in a double gameweek.</p>
<p>There are expected to be two other main double gameweeks before the end of the season &#8211; Gameweek 34 and 37.</p>
<p>The fixtures for both these doubles are yet to be confirmed, with FA Cup quarter-final results helping to shape the schedule.</p>
<p>Leading FPL fixtures expert Ben Crellin has forecast how Gameweek 34 and 37 could look.</p>

<p>And although fixtures could easily switch around, Ben has used bookmakers&#8217; odds for the cup results and his extensive knowledge of how the Premier League tends to handle such situations to estimate the most likely doubles.</p>

<p>Those yet to play their Triple Captain will not be short of options, with plenty of doubles expected.</p>
<p>But many of the potential doubles are away games, while all but Chelsea&#8217;s fall in the main double gameweeks. These could be more popular weeks for the Free Hit or Bench Boost chips to be used.</p>
<p>FPL managers must weigh up their options, with their own teams and remaining chips in mind, to work out whether Double Gameweek 28 is the best bet.</p>
<p>Solanke&#8217;s fitness will also play a part, with comments from <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-predicted-lineups">Andoni Iraola</a> expected to play an important role in determining his fitness.</p>
