<h2>What happened to Bowen? What's the latest on his fitness?</h2>
<p>Bowen looked to be struggling as he left the pitch at the end of West Ham's last game, having scored his side's only goal in a 1-1 draw against Bristol City in the FA Cup.</p>
<p>It appeared to be an injury to his left ankle, which is less than reassuring in the case of a player widely known for his wand of a left foot.</p>
<p>West Ham have confirmed that they will conduct tests on Bowen once the swelling around his ankle has reduced.</p>
<p>According to <a href="https://theathletic.com/5190314/2024/01/09/bowen-paqueta-west-ham-injuries/?source=emp-shared-article&amp;access_token=3266202&amp;redirected=1">The Athletic</a>, initial expectations were that the England man will be out for "at least a month".</p>
<p>Based on that timeline, Bowen would have been unlikely to return until West Ham face Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 25.</p>
<p>However, news filtering through on Wednesday suggests that Bowen may only miss 2-3 weeks, which could see him make a return as early as Gameweek 22.</p>

<p>The Bournemouth fixture in Gameweek 22 could be a key factor, unless you're planning to hold him all the way through to Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 25.</p>
