Manchester City finished as Premier League champions once again under Pep Guardiola &#8211; here, we preview their FPL and wider fantasy football prospects for the 2023/24 campaign.

Whilst there were many excellent performers, it&#8217;s hard to argue against Erling Haaland for Manchester City&#8217;s player of the season.
The Norwegian broke the Premier League record of 32 goals, scoring 36 in his debut season &#8211; despite only starting 33 games.
Kevin De Bruyne did what Kevin De Bruyne does, setting the pace for assists in the Premier League with 18 last season, for a total of 114 during his time at City.

Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, and Riyad Mahrez all hit 15+ attacking returns in the league for City last season &#8211; although Mahrez has now left the club.
There were plenty of impressive performances in midfield too, with Rodri a standout, alongside the now departed Ilkay Gundogan.
We also saw John Stones stepping into midfield at times, with an array of talented centre-backs at Pep Guardiola&#8217;s disposal to cover for the England man &#8211; a group which could now include £85m man Josko Gvardiol, if that transfer goes through.

<h3>2022/23 season stats</h3>
Manchester City scored the most goals with 94, and conceded the joint-least goals alongside Newcastle with 33.
This certainly looks like a winning formula, and it played out that way despite the efforts of second-placed Arsenal.
City were top for plenty of underlying attacking metrics too, including Expected Goals (xG) and big chances, although they were actually pipped by Brighton for both shots and shots on target.
They did keep just 13 clean sheets however, which puts them behind United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle. There were certainly a few sloppy goals towards the end of games which Ederson will not want to be reminded of.

Ederson will start in goal for City, with a likely first choice back three of Nathan Ake, Ruben Dias, and Manuel Akanji.
John Stones looks more likely to play a holding midfield position than at centre-back, and should line up alongside Rodri.
Assist king Kevin De Bruyne could well be joined by Phil Foden in a more advanced midfield role, although City have just signed Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea, who will be pushing for a start.
Jack Grealish has been a favourite for Pep Guardiola on the left-wing, where he provides creativity and helps to control possession, with Bernardo Silva taking up a similar role on the other side.
Up front is main man Erling Haaland, although Julian Alvarez is a versatile forward option for City whenever the Norwegian is out of action &#8211; or sometimes alongside him.

<h2>Manchester City stats for Sky, TFF and Dream Team</h2>
Sky Sports Fantasy Football awards bonus points for passing, tackles, shots and saves. Players are awarded two or three extra points for 60/70 passes, four/five tackles, two/three shots on target and three/five saves.
In Sky, centre-backs and defensive midfielders are the ones who tend to pick up passing bonus most often. Tackles tend to come from full-backs and defensive midfielders.
Tackles are also a factor in Telegraph Fantasy Football for midfielders, who are awarded a point for every two tackles. Goalkeepers get one extra point for every save made.
And in Dream Team, the 2023/24 game has had a revamp. There’s no longer Star Man and WhoScored ratings, while a new bonus system is in play – see our guide <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/how-to-play-dream-team-fantasy-football-2">here</a> for full details.
