<p>Ukraine&#8217;s Mykhaylo Mudryk has joined Chelsea for €100m from Shakhtar Donetsk &#8211; but what are his FPL and wider fantasy football prospects?</p>
<p>We take a look at his history, his style of play, and what he could offer as a fantasy asset.</p>

<h2>Mykhaylo Mudryk: The history</h2>
<p>Mudryk spent his formative years playing on the left wing at Shakhtar Donetsk, where he scored nine goals in 29 league appearances for the Ukranian side.</p>
<p>He also had two loan spells in Ukraine, to Arsenal Kyiv and Desna Chernihiv.</p>
<p>During each of these loan spells he made ten appearances, but failed to score a goal for either club.</p>
<p>The story is the same with his national team, where Mudryk has eight appearances but no goals for Ukraine.</p>
<p>He has impressed in the Champions League this season however, managing three goals and two assists in just six appearances.</p>
<p>Mudryk has signed an eight-and-a-half year contract with Chelsea, which would take him into his thirties should he see out the contract.</p>
<p>He has been given the number 15 shirt, which he wore as he was unveiled to the Blues fans at half-time during their last match.</p>

<h2>Mykhaylo Mudryk: Style of play</h2>
<p class="tagStyle_z4kqwb-o_O-style_1tcxgp3-o_O-style_1pinbx1-o_O-style_48hmcm" data-mm-id="_jaazralpl">Mudryk plays predominantly as an inverted left winger, cutting inside on his stronger right foot, and will likely slot straight into that position at Chelsea.</p>
<p data-mm-id="_jaazralpl">He is renowned for his speed, agility, and dribbling, and is more than capable of beating his man. To this end, he typically attempts more than ten dribbles per 90 minutes.</p>
<p data-mm-id="_jaazralpl">Mudryk does have goals in him, although he has been criticised for his finishing, but his real talent lies in assists. He has the knack of finding an incisive pass that can split open defences.</p>
<p data-mm-id="_jaazralpl">Last season for example, he averaged 4.8 progressive passes per game, and registered nine assists, the highest amongst his teammates.</p>

<h2>Mykhaylo Mudryk: FPL, Sky, Dream Team and TFF prospects</h2>
<p>Mudryk has been priced as a £7.0m midfielder in Fantasy Premier League.</p>
<p>The Ukranian is expected to go into the Chelsea team without delay, as The Blues are missing several key attackers at the moment.</p>
<p>It was the same with <strong>Joao Felix (£7.5m),</strong> who went straight into the starting XI against Fulham due to Graham Potter&#8217;s attacking injury crisis.</p>
<p>The Portugal international impressed, before being <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-gameweek-19-review-chelsea-fulham">sent off on his Chelsea debut.</a></p>

<p>With the majority of Chelsea&#8217;s attackers injured, Potter doesn&#8217;t have too many options in his forward line, so Mudryk is likely be a key part of the Chelsea attack in the short term,</p>
<p>The Blues have recently lost <strong>Raheem Sterling</strong> <strong>(£9.7m)</strong> and<strong> Christian Pulisic (£5.7m)</strong> to injuries, and <strong>Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£8.5m)</strong>  has also been dealing with a back issue, so Graham Potter will need to utilise every attacker he can get.</p>
<p>The obvious setup in the medium term would be Mudryk on the left, Joao Felix on the right, and <strong>Kai Havertz</strong> (<strong>£7.8m) </strong>up front.</p>
<p>Mudryk has averaged 1 shot on target per game in the Champions League this season according to <a href="https://www.whoscored.com/Players/149738/Show/Gustavo-Scarpa">WhoScored</a>, which may attract the interest of Sky Sports Fantasy Football managers, who get bonus points for two and three shots on target per game.</p>
<p>His average WhoScored rating of 6.92 is unlikely to be of much interest for Dream Team managers.</p>

<h2>Mykhaylo Mudryk: Other FPL implications</h2>
<p>The flip side of the coin is that several Chelsea assets, such as Raheem Sterling, Christian Pulisic, and Joao Felix, are likely to see a reduction in their overall minutes with the signing of Mudryk.</p>
<p>Arsenal meanwhile, who were linked with Mudryk, could see the opposite effect. <strong>Gabriel Martinelli</strong> <strong>(£6.8m)</strong> should be more secure for minutes now, without the impending competition of Mudryk on the left-hand side.</p>
<p>It remains to be seen however whether Arsenal will go into the transfer market for an alternative to Mudryk.</p>
